SUPPORT GOES BEYOND A DONATION. IT'S A REFLECTION OF A DONOR’S IDENTITY.

IDEAL DONOR HELPS NONPROFITS ACCELERATE ENGAGEMENT & PHILANTHROPY BY USING
SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY + DATA SCIENCE TO IDENTIFY THE BEST DONOR PROSPECTS.

What if you could measure how deeply someone associates their own self-identity
with your organization and then use that information to drive engagement and
philanthropy? Well, we’ve figured that out, tested it, and deployed it
successfully across a number of colleges, universities, nonprofits and EdTech
partners.

The IDeal Donor Score℠ is the “North Star” metric for nonprofit fundraising - a
single, quantifiable rating that is both a measure of engagement and a predictor
of giving.

WHAT’S YOUR IDEAL DONOR SCORE?

JAY LE ROUX DILLON, ED.D.

Many moons ago I set out to crack the code that no one else had cracked - Why do
some people give and others not, and can nonprofits even do anything about it?

Working as a scholar-practitioner, I rolled up my sleeves to conduct empirical
research and wound up with the concept of the IDeal Donor Score℠ - a reliable
tactic and tool for measuring engagement and predicting giving among nonprofit
constituents. I founded IDeal Donor (formerly Alumni Identity Fundraising
Consultants) as a way to help fundraisers target and influence donations among
prospects and friends. My hope is to facilitate social justice and equity among
social causes by using IDeal Donor℠ to improve philanthropy.

I’m a redhead, father of a redhead, social scientist, and consultant with 17
years of leadership experience in higher education advancement. I am currently
the Chief Alumni Officer & Strategist for the University of California,
Berkeley. I was previously the Director of Alumni Engagement at the University
of San Francisco and the Executive Director of Alumni Strategic Initiatives at
UCLA. I hold a doctorate in organization & leadership from USF and a master's
and bachelor's degree in music from UCLA.
