Is the menopause really a business issue?

Low awareness amongst employers about the menopause is causing thousands of
women each year to be absent from work and to quit their jobs. 

Experts say that the problem is likely to get significantly worse, particularly
if employers continue to bury their heads in the sand about the issue.

Employers that choose to side-line menopause as a ’women’s issue’ rather than a
business issue will quite simply lose out.

Our host for this event will be David Saab, Business Alliance Manager and Mental
Wellbeing Champion for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.

After a brief introduction to this topic, our Chair Amantha King will pose three
questions to our panel for discussion:

 *  With 1 million women leaving their jobs, what is the impact on business?

How do we support and retain women in business?

 * Creating the right environment – are you confident to have ‘that’
   conversation?

 An effective menopause policy?
