Kuro here, wishing everyone a Merry and Happy Christmas! Hopefully the many
peoples who are here and not here find little goodies hiding in their houses
(and were hopefully not kuronapped by the evil mice...) Maybe if there is some
motivation floating around in the Discord server, we can chat a bit of the state
and future of the website? Kuro-RPG is not going anywhere, but we have some...
issues that need addressing.

A bit delayed in my holiday wishes (super busy on the 25th, despite it being a
holiday and today was vicious headache day, likely a huge change of weather
incoming).

I was going to post about this, but you beat me to it.

Ok, so we had an issue with downloads not working. I think it's too early to say
why it was happening, but I can confirm that the zip files themselves and the
original source code that was used for downloading them were working fine.
Apparently this has been a problem since the servers went down for a while last
month, so thanks to everyone for pointing this problem out to me (even if I
didn't really find out about it until more recently).

What I ended up having to do was connect the files directly to the links. This
ups the risk of hotlinking and makes my downloads counter useless, but I don't
see a whole lot of other options at the moment.

 Download Error - Invalid Archive/Zip File

Hey folks,

It has been brought to our attention recently that our download files are
throwing up errors saying that they're not valid archive/zip files for some
people, while we're not sure when or how this occurred, please be assured that
we are investigating and hope to have this issue fixed as soon as possible.

 Another episode of "My Bad" ...

The Donations section was horribly out of date, so I did some record digging,
brought everything up to date and revised the Top Ten. Kudos to Kevin W. and
ChaosMiles for their contributions to Kuro-RPG as a whole, including all the
side projects, galleries and other odds and ends. There is a heck of a lot more
to Kuro-RPG than what is on the front page, even if the links are not obvious or
easily available.

 I did something..?

Two updated sets have been posted with changes to some of the pips, new nips and
a new background.

Bajoran Militia, Integrated Ranks
Bajoran Militia, Split Ranks

One point of contention that was included with the set is a Silver Lt. Colonel
pip. Memory Alpha states that such a rank exists. I happen to disagree. I have
checked a number of captions from various episodes and they appear to backup the
design I came up with up. Nonetheless, since it was brought to my attention that
it could be an option, it has been included with the set.

At the same time, I must ask: Is it 'really' a holiday? It always seems like
December is a much busier month than the rest of them. So, my question becomes:
What is so 'holiday' about a busier month?

Oh Hey! It's that time of year, one where we spend time with friends, family
and/or loved ones, eat, drink and well, be merry.

As you read this, I'm munching on a slice of an Aussie (ham, bacon, egg and
cheese) pizza wishing you all happy holidays and safe travels as we get towards
the end of this year and begin the next.
