Recent inflation data are something of a game-changer for monetary policy.
Expectations for what will come out of the Federal Reserve’s meeting this week
and beyond have quickly ratcheted higher, spelling more pain for financial
markets and the economy. 

Before last week’s consumer price index showed prices rose 8.6% in May from a
year earlier, a fresh 40-year high, investors were sure the Federal Open Market
Committee, the Fed’s policy-setting arm, would raise interest rates by another

TWO-DOSE COVID VACCINE AND PFIZER'S THREE-DOSE SHOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS

A year and a half after the authorization of the first Covid-19 vaccines in the
U.S., children under 5 years old are on their way to being able to be
vaccinated.

The Food and Drug Administration’s vaccines advisers on Wednesday unanimously
backed authorization both of a two-dose series of Moderna’s (ticker: MRNA)
Covid-19 vaccine for children aged six months to five years, and a three-dose
series of Pfizer’s (PFE) vaccine for children aged six months to four years.
