SIGNING BANKS IS AN INNOVATIVE, HUMAN – CENTRIC, TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM WHICH AIMS TO PROMOTE FULL FINANCIAL INCLUSION TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN PARTICULAR TO D/DEAF PEOPLE, INCLUDING TRADITIONAL AND ALTERNATIVE BANKING SERVICES, ONLINE PAYMENT SERVICES, FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS, AND MOBILE BANKING. SIGNING BANKS PROGRAM LASTS 25 MONTHS AND HAS 3 MAIN TARGET GROUPS: - FINANCIAL & BANKING WORLD; - D/DEAF PEOPLE; - ADULT EDUCATORS WORKING WITH D/DEAF PEOPLE. What does this logo mean, according to Nicola Della Maggiora, our graphic designer? The logo represents two signing hands raising from the banking world (see the capital B on the top right of the logo). Through this design, I, as a designer, wanted to point out the need and the right of Deaf people to have equal access to financial services. Between the signing hands and the B of the banking world, an uphill road, the road to financial literacy, is looming. The colour of the logo is based on shades of grey, a neutral colour, which is widely used when seeking to emphasise on equality or to assert a basic right, such as that of financial inclusion. Therefore, through this project, as a Consortium, we want to emphasize on the fact that in this digital world, accessible financial services can and should be provided by any banking system if we want to invest in people's quality of life. Access to financial services plays a critical role in lifting people out of poverty, in empowering women, and in helping governments deliver services to their people.” Sri Mulyani Indrawati Minister of Finance of Indonesia, former head of the World Bank Group WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET THE WHOLE TEAM?
