Welcome to "My Life as an Airbnb Mom." I'm a mom of four who juggles family life
between beautiful Pender Island and bustling Calgary, with a passion for
creating welcoming homes and exploring new places. After years of managing
properties, traveling with my kids, and finding creative ways to make it all
work, I decided to share what I've learned.



On this blog, you'll find practical tips on how to turn your home into a
successful Airbnb, even with little ones running around. From setting up
kid-friendly spaces to managing rentals while balancing family life, I offer
advice drawn from real-life experience. 



You'll also discover tricks for traveling with kids—whether it's packing smart,
finding the best family-friendly destinations, or just staying sane on long
trips. My goal is to help other parents feel empowered to embrace adventure and
make the most of their spaces, no matter where life takes them. Join me on this
journey of family, travel, and home!


ABOUT

Hi, I’m Theresa Grimmer, the mom behind "My Life as an Airbnb Mom." I’m a mother
of four—Lilyanna (3), Alexander (2), Nathaniel (10 months), and my eldest, who
is 12. Our family splits time between the peaceful beauty of Pender Island and
the city life of Calgary, and we’re always seeking new adventures.



Over the years, we’ve traveled back and forth between Calgary and Pender Island,
but our journey doesn’t stop there. We spent two months exploring the stunning
Baja Peninsula in Mexico, ending up at Cerritos Beach. This past summer, we also
took an unforgettable trip to Hyder, Alaska. Seattle remains a regular
destination for us, too! With four young kids, I’ve learned to stick to a 5-hour
flight limit and a 4-hour max drive time.



On this blog, I share tips on turning your home into a kid-friendly Airbnb,
based on my own experiences managing properties while traveling. You’ll also
find advice for traveling with kids, from road trips to long-haul flights, and
ways to make it all feel seamless.
