TOGETHER WE ARE ICBA

TOGETHER

WE ARE ICBA

The Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) has represented
and supported the open shop construction industry in every corner of British
Columbia since 1975.

ICBA members are entrepreneurs, businesspeople, and skilled construction
professionals who are part of a community working together to ensure a safe,
fair, highly-trained, and vibrant construction sector. This is a community of
entrepreneurs and builders who look to drive future growth and that advocates
for the contractors, businesses, and the men and women working in construction
today.

With comprehensive and competitive group health and retirement benefit plans, an
industry-leading workplace wellness program, innovative professional development
and training courses, and strong advocacy, ICBA supports businesses of all sizes
by drawing on the expertise and strength of our members to support innovation
and a thriving construction industry.

We speak and advocate for more than 4,000 construction businesses and their more
than 150,000 employees – working to move our industry forward and highlighting
the important jobs and opportunities that flow from a strong construction
sector. Big or small, all members are supported by ICBA.

Whether measured by number of members, clients, workers, or services offered,
ICBA is one of the largest business and trade associations in Canada.

We are proud to be your voice, representing independent contractors and
entrepreneurs in construction and all its sub-trades, in responsible resource
development, and in homebuilding. By working together, we help build better
communities.

Being a part of ICBA is like having a couple of extra staff members to help me
manage apprenticeship paperwork, health and dental benefit plans, training,
networking, wellness, advocacy, and more. It’s the best few hundred dollars I
spend every year.

 * WELLNESS WEDNESDAY #113: Laying the Foundation for Mental Wellness August 9,
