However, unfortunately for any cheese lovers out there, FMA International of Brooklyn, NY has issued a recall on SAS Fromagerie Ottavi Tome Corse Sheep Milk Cheese due to a possible listeria outbreak, the FDA website states. The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023 CHECK IT OUT courtesy of SAS Fromagerie SAS FROMAGERIE OTTAVA TOME CORSE SHEEP MILK CHEESE RECALLED If you recently picked up a wheel of SAS Fromagerie Ottava Tome Corse Sheep Milk Cheese, it's time to take a look at the lot number. According to FMA International and the FDA, this cheese may be contaminated with listeria. FMA International issued this recall after being notified of an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes in Europe by their France manufacturer. This is just one imported cheese from SAS Fromagerie Ottava that has been recalled lately due to the outbreak. Luckily, only one case has been recalled. It was distributed in Oregon. You can find out if you have a recalled product by checking the expiration date and lot number. Potentially affected products will have an expiration date of 07/08/2023 and are marked with lot number VC349. If you happen to be in possession of recalled cheese, you should not consume it or distribute it. Instead, you should either discard it or return it to the point of purchase for a full refund. Shutterstock Listeria infection, or listeriosis, is a serious health risk, especially for elderly people, children, pregnant people, and those with compromised immune systems. Symptoms include nausea and vomiting, fever, muscle aches, headaches, and more. If you think you have consumed a potentially listeria-contaminated product, you should monitor yourself for symptoms, which can take up to 70 days to develop. It's important to stay up to date on the latest recalls in order to keep yourself and your family safe, healthy, and protected from infection. Other recent recalls include Martinelli's Apple Juice and apple sauce.
