CORONAVIRUS UPDATE Thank you so much for the support you have shown Watford Foodbank, during such a difficult time for so many. We are operating as usual and our warehouse continues to open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 1pm. GETTING HELP For those requiring food parcels, we are operating as usual: Monday – Saturday, 10am – 1pm. If you are struggling to get a foodbank voucher referral or to collect a food parcel, please call us on 01923 804435 and we can explore other options. GIVING HELP We’re gratefully accepting food donations – the easiest way to get food to us is to pop it in one of the collection points at the local supermarkets in Watford. We currently have points in Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco Extra. You can see a list of our urgently needed items here. Alternatively, you can still drop food off at our warehouse (WD24 4YH) between 10am and 1pm, Monday – Saturday. If you’re able to support us financially, please follow the link to make a donation. As many people are currently isolating, your generous financial gifts will help us with things such as the running costs of delivering food packages to those in need. Thank you for your support! This is a really simple way to support the work of the foodbank. HOW THE FOODBANK WORKS Watford Foodbank is here to help individuals and families in crisis by providing free emergency food as well as support until the appropriate agencies are in a position to assist. Tinned and dried food is collected from the public at supermarkets, churches, schools and other local groups and “banked” in a warehouse. Food is then given to people in crisis as a result of referrals from registered care professionals, such as Citizens Advice Bureau.
