Welcome to Pioneer Union School District

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Home of Pioneer Elementary School, Mountain Creek Middle School and Walt Tyler
Elementary School.  Our district was founded in 1958 through the unification of
these small, rural schools:

 * Mountain School, Est 1858
 * Mt. Aukum School, Est 1860
 * River School, Est 1878
 * Fair Play School, Est. 1890
 * Willow School, Est 1904

In our schools every child is safe, engaged and learning every day.

It is our mission to provide all children with opportunities to:  academically
excel to their capacity, develop the skills to become self confident and become
contributing members of a global society.

This mission is accomplished through our core values.

 * Foster a respectful, compassionate, cooperative and safe environment
 * Nurture the partnership among home, school, and community
 * Acknowledge the uniqueness of the individual

THE LOCAL PLAN AND THE 2023-24 ANNUAL AMENDMENT FOR LOCAL PLAN SECTION D:
ANNUAL BUDGET PLAN, LOCAL PLAN SECTION E: ANNUAL SERVICE PLAN, AND THE
ATTACHMENTS. 

 

The El Dorado County SELPA is please to share the Local Plan and the 2023-24
Annual Amendment Local Plan Section D: Annual Budget Plan, Local Plan Section E:
Annual Service Plan, and the Attachments. The purpose of the Local Plan is to:

 * Outline the special education policies/procedures that are offered throughout
   the SELPA.
 * To assure access to special education and related services for all
   individuals with exceptional needs residing within the geographic areas
   served by the plan.
 * To ensure compliance with all federal and state codes and statutes this year,
   Local Plan Section D: Annual Budget Plan, Section E: Annual Service Plan and
   Attachments are the only revised sections of the Local Plan. You can review
