Tripodi: UNESCO is a key pillar of Italian cultural diplomacy Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on WhatsApp Share Share on Social Network TRIPODI: UNESCO IS A KEY PILLAR OF ITALIAN CULTURAL DIPLOMACY * Publication date: January 25 2024 * Tipology: Press Releases Italy’s Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi today opened the Assembly of the National Commission for UNESCO at the Farnesina. Reaffirming Italy’s unwavering adherence to the precious values embraced by UNESCO, Tripodi expressed her full appreciation for the work performed by the Italian National Commission under the leadership of President Franco Bernabè. She stressed how the skills and expertise possessed by Italy in the protection and preservation of cultural heritage set an example for all, promoting and enjoying UNESCO sites in a way that combines development and sustainability, growth and protection. The National Commission has confirmed itself to be a fruitful laboratory of ideas, also thanks to the creation of working groups of experts in the educational sector who have drafted a document on the school of the future and of eminent scientists who have drafted a document on scientific research, which contributed to the definition of the NRRP. Italy will continue to offer its expertise and skills to all UNESCO members, with the aim of also contributing to an increasingly fair and inclusive World Heritage List, Tripodi concluded. * Tags: * Diplomazia Culturale * Sottosegretario Maria Tripodi * UNESCO BROWSE SECTION * In detail * Diplomatic network * Events * Press Releases * Economic Diplomacy * Cultural Diplomacy * From Farnesina * Interviews and Articles Summary YOU MIGHT ALSO BE INTERESTED IN.. * MISSION OF UNDERSECRETARY TRIPODI TO PARIS FOR THE UNESCO GENERAL...
