manage and automate their business.

MUSICBED


MUSIC LICENSING

Musicbed offers online stock music licensing for film, TV, streaming, and
weddings.

The Mettle team was tasked with completely rebuilding a legacy web application
from the ground up. Based on Laravel 4 and then upgraded to Laravel 5, the site
also includes deep integration to a number of technologies and services,
including Amazon EC2, RDS, SQS, PayPal, Stripe, Braintree memcache, ffmpeg, sox
audio processing, and an elasticsearch cluster. A RESTful API is consumed by an
iPhone app.




FILMSUPPLY


STOCK FOOTAGE

Filmsupply offers stock footage for agencies, brands and independent filmmakers.

Having worked with the awesome team at Musicbed, the Mettle team built a
complete backend and admin solution for Filmsupply. We make use of a number of
complimentary technologies, including MySQL (hosted on RDS), queue integration
(SQS), video transcoding (ZenCoder), Memcached, Redis and Elasticsearch. A
RESTful API is consumed by a React front end, and payments are handled via
Stripe and Braintree.




INSTITUTE FOR VOCAL ADVANCEMENT


MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT PORTAL

The Institute for Vocal Advancement required an online application at very short
notice to help manage their membership base and education requirements, as well
as providing CMS functionality.

Built using Laravel 4 and a custom Bootstrap theme, the site also integrates
with PayPal, Stripe and Google Maps.




CROWDPROPERTY


PROPERTY CROWDFUNDING

CrowdProperty is a peer-to-peer lending platform designed to facilitate loans
between private individuals and professional property businesses.

CrowdProperty engaged the Mettle team to migrate to AWS, enhance the security of
the existing platform and add new features.




UNDERSTAND.IO


LARAVEL LOG MANAGEMENT APPLICATION

Understand.io is a SaaS application which is owned and management by the Mettle
team. Understand.io is an online event and log management system which enables
you to release immense value from log data that you already collect. You can get
complete application visibility in real-time, helping you to track down error
messages, application requests, customer problems, and much more.

Having worked with numerous Laravel and Elasticsearch applications, the Mettle
team discovered began to develop an internal tool to help with searching and
analysing Laravel logs. Although there are other solutions in the marketplace,
none offered the deep integration with Laravel that we required. We launched
Understand.io in 2015 and the service is now considered one of the leading
online log management tools for Laravel applications.

Understand.io is built using a variety of technologies including Laravel, nodejs
and ElasticSearch, and is owned and managed by the Mettle team.




PERCOL8 DNS


WEB FILTERING

P8DNS is a DNS filtering product to protect against phishing and malware sites.
The Mettle team was engaged to build a client side application to allow
customers and resellers to manage their DNS products through a web interface.
Originally built in Laravel 4, the site has since been upgrade to Laravel 5.

The application interfaces with a number of external applications, including DNS
management (DynDNS) and PAYU payment integration.

INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

IPS had an existing Laravel application that was managed internally. Having
decided to outsource the maintenance and development of the application, Mettle
was chosen from a shortlist as their preferred candidate.

The application contains clients' investment information, and automatically
calculates a variety of financial returns and stress tests, as well as regular
performance reports (based on wkhtml2pdf).
