We work to provide the best solutions for our members; not to line the pockets
of anonymous big-city owners. We advocate for members and their families rather
than shareholders in far away places.

Our field of membership has widened in recent years.  If you live in the Abilene
area, you’re most likely included.  Here are the non-teacher groups eligible for
membership:

 * Residents of Taylor and Callahan counties. People who work, attend school, or
   worship in these counties but reside elsewhere are also eligible.
 * Family members of current ATFCU members.
 * Family members of a person who is eligible for membership, even if the
   eligible member has chosen not to join the credit union.

As our name states, teachers were our charter members in 1950. Thank you for
your foresight & leadership!  School district employees in the following Texas
counties are eligible: Callahan, Coleman, Eastland, Fisher, Haskell, Jones,
Kent, King, Knox, Nolan, Runnels, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor and
Throckmorton.

*The lowest loan interest rates shown above reflect all available interest rate
discounts.  For 2024 and 2023 vehicles, the lowest available base rate with no
discounts is 5.00%. For 2022 models, the lowest rate is 5.00%; 2021 models –
5.25%; 2020 models – 5.35%; 2019 models – 5.45%; 2018 models – 5.55%; 2017
models – 5.65%; 2016 models – 5.75%, 2015 models – 5.85%; 2014 models – 5.95%.
For model years 2005 – 2013, the lowest rate is without discounts is 7.70%.  All
rates are stated as APRs.

For RV’s, 8.00% is the lowest rate available without discounts; for Personal
Signature Loans the lowest rate without discounts is 10.75%.
