Hedgies Distribution Mismanagement & Double Spending


Inspired by the DRC - Grants v1.5 Fund Mismanagement & Deficit Costs [URGENT] I
would like to bring up an additional mismanagement of the Foundation’s assets,
which relates to the distribution of Hedgies.

Considering that Hedgies have utility and monetary value, as is obvious by the
0.4 ETH (+$650) floor price on OpenSea, it seems that by recent distributions,
Hedgies are not being used anymore as a tool to “…promote the growth of the dYdX
protocol and governance”, but are simply distributed as de facto “bonuses” to
“associates” who are close to the Foundation.

League of Memes and Fan Art Contest - Wrong Decisions for Community and dYdX


I like the contest and really amazed with it. But team actually have to
reconsider the terms. Here is the thing:

At first, it was said that everyone can vote. Then team said that the 10 memes
“we chose” will be voted on and the voting was done only by those who hold
hedgie nft (this can also be manipulated) Then 12 memes/fan art were chosen
instead of 10. Most of the memes and fan/arts selected are copyrighted
music/images/video content.

TL;DR

DYDX token holders have voted to wind down the safety staking module. Since the
intent is to remove the safety staking module from the protocol entirely, we
would like to remove the stkDYDX term from the LP rewards formulas as well.
There are two ways to do this: (1) we remove stkDYDX term from the LP rewards
formulas and give its weight to other terms, or (2) we replace the stkDYDX term
with a DYDX term and keep the same weight. We advocate for (1), along with
moving the freed up 0.05 formula weight to the MakerVolume term.

Withdraw from Safety Pool giving error


Hi, I don’t know if this is the right place to ask, but I have a number of DYDX
tokens staked in the Safety Pool. I’d like to withdraw them, but when I try I
get a this very strage error. Anybody can help to understand? I’m still outside
the Epoch window, so I should be able to do it.

What was the reason to skip "old school" users of V1?


I just connected DeBank and realised I have a few cents on dYdX… I remember that
during the airdrop time I was disappointed that as V1 user I haven’t received
anything.

I know this is a “mental fallacy” - I should be happy, being happy is a good
business - but I remember I had some feelings of “MEH”… Now that I remember
this, I’m curious what was the thinking process?

Second Chance for L1 Historical Users?

MetaMask Connection problems end with stolen my funds


19/12/2022 date 06-03pm GMT(+3) time zone I tried to connect dydx with my
MetaMask wallet (0x2031300e64f811137977b5f6dDC4B99b4de87891) after that I get
pop up to pay tax around 0.21 usd and I reject that. After 1 hour later figured
out that all my funds stolen from my MetaMask wallet. On bscScan I saw that some
swap progress can be seen and 3**.**868142558142805 BNB and 56.412707144 AVAX
sent to fallowing adress. is there any log records on your servers side to
inspect that case.

V3 StarkWare Contract Data Availability Bug



SIMPLE SUMMARY

A bug has been identified in the current version of the dYdX StarkEx Cairo code,
which is only triggered for the specific case of a Trade resulting in the
collateral balance (i.e. value) equaling exactly zero (after all fees are paid)
and for an account that still has positions open. In this case, instead of
sending the correct funding timestamp for the position, a zero value is sent
on-chain, thus, the timestamp won’t be converted into the actual funding indices
which constitute the state. This may result in the inability to retrieve funds
once the exchange is frozen (doomsday scenario) and both dYdX and StarkWare are
unable to provide assistance to users (become malicious or maliciously hacked).

getting candle data from the API is 30 seconds late


Getting accurate candle data on the small timescale is proving difficult. This
is because when requesting candles on the 1MIN time scale we only get the
current candle data 30-ish seconds later.

I would like to be able to get accurate data for the open value of the current
candle (not the close of the previous), as soon as it is available. Is there
anything in the API which can provide this, except manually tracking the price
over time, via the websocket API, and reconstructing candles manually?

How to set the margin risk parameters


Considered Finance has completed its analysis and study grant into right sizing
the individual markets risk parameters. These parameters govern the amount of
collateral needed to put on and maintain in trading accounts given their trading
positions.

Great new ideas for trade markets/tokens.


FTM, gOHM (wrapped olympus dao), XVS (Venus bsc lending protocol), RAY (Raydium
dex from Solana), adding all of the ETH2 liquid staking tokens would be good
even if its just the biggest stETH. Also mSOL, and last but not least Harmony
ONE token.

Thank you so much for everything you guys do, what you all have built is truly
amazing.
