Skip to content MORE NEWS OUTER RING MMO OCTOBER BLOCKCHAIN ECOSYSTEM DEVUPDATE * October 17, 2022 * No Comments THE REPORT, IN SHORT: * The Dapp will merge all the Blockchain Ecosystem of Outer Ring under the same site. * Learn about the payment methods in the Marketplace, the royalties, and the fees. * We will keep testing out functionalities for Non-transferable Tokens. * We are already working on creating the Crafting system expected for Q4 2022. The blockchain ecosystem of Outer Ring is growing at a colossal speed. In less than eight months, we released Staking Pools with many pairs, a Decentralized Exchange to manage your tokenized materials, NFT Lootboxes full of in-game items, a very innovative Governance Platform, and our own NFT Marketplace. But that´s not all. We still have many milestones on our roadmap. The NFT Crafting System and the Lands Sale are next, and from now on, we will cover them in a Blockchain Ecosystem DevUpdate, published between the second and third week of each month. While we will cover Game Development Updates in a separate report. ONE DAPP TO RULE THEM ALL. As stated before, Outer Ring´s Blockchain Ecosystem needs to be very user-friendly. We want to condense all the tools on the same site. As for now, they have been operating under different domains. One for the Pools, one for the DEX, one for the Lootboxes, and one for the Governance. This changes now. They will all be merged under the same Dapp. This integration will allow players to manage all their tokenized assets on one site. By connecting their wallet, they can collect materials in the staking pools and use them in the Crafting System. Open Lootboxes or trade NFTs in the Marketplace, and decide over the future of the ecosystem using the Governance. All while our developers incorporate social features to create a community around it with leaderboards, achievements, and rewards systems. This month we optimized the design of the Lootboxes store and migrated the Marketplace and Governance Platform inside it. Next, we will redesign the Staking Pools and DEX for players to manage their tokenized materials more intuitively. This update will allow users to interact better with Crafting System this Q4. THE NFT MARKETPLACE OPENING After months of preparation, the Outer Ring NFT Marketplace is ready to be opened. Creating a platform capable of supporting the trade of thousands of digital items has not been an easy task. But our site has successfully passed all the examinations done on BSC testnet, and it is now finalizing the Smart Contract Audit with Certik. We are hoping to be able to open this week once the Audit is completed (but remember, this is not up to us). But first of all, we thank our partner Babylons publicly for hosting our items on their NFT Marketplace. The service provided has been spectacular, and we look forward to doing more collaborations with them. DIRECT SALES AND PURCHASES Buying or selling at a fixed price it´s the easiest way to trade items inside the Marketplace. Payments must be made in the currency assigned, GQ, BUSD, or BNB. The seller selects a preferred payment method to which the buyer must adapt. You can change the price at any time when putting an item on sale. And buyers can transfer the NFT directly to another wallet as a gift. The smart contract commanding this sale works in the following way. The seller selects the NFT and the type of sale they want to realize. This BEP-721 token gets deposited in the smart contract. Once the buyer makes a payment, the seller will receive the fixed amount directly in his wallet, fees will get distributed, and the NFT will arrive in the new owner´s wallet. AUCTIONS There will be two types of auctions inside our Marketplace: the standard and the Dutch one. In standard auctions, the seller can personalize the duration time (2, 4, or 6 days) and the minimum percentage increase for automatic bids. From that percentage upwards, the bidder may place a bid as high as he wants using the custom bid option. To create an auction, the seller must approve that his NFTs can be transferred into the auction´s smart contract. Once approved, there will be no need to do it again with the same digital asset category, reducing the fee costs. After the NFT is introduced in the smart contract, buyers can start making bids. Every time a higher bid gets submitted, the smart contract automatically distributes the tokens used in the last bid back to its owner. At last, once the action is completed, the winner can claim his NFT from the smart contract and transfer it to his wallet. But why should I get one of these Early Explorer NFTs? Yes, they look very dope, and getting them now will give you a competitive edge for a while once the game is released. But there are more utilities associated with them. You can get discounts in the Merchandising store, test the following Tech Demos, or participate in events and raffles. ROYALTIES Outer Ring items will give a 1% Royaltie fee on secondary sales to the first owner of the NFT. This means that the users purchasing Lootboxes or Crafting NFTs will get rewards every time their item gets sold again in our Marketplace. THE 4% FEE Outer Ring monetization methods highly depend on commissioning over the sales of Non-fungible-tokens. Each time a transaction takes place inside the Marketplace, a 4% fee is charged. These fees are distributed in the following way: * BNB fees automatically get swapped into BUSD fees. * BUSD fees: * 24,4% Buy GQ and burn it. * 0,6% Purchase gold to back GQ * 25% GQ (buy) + 25% BUSD to provide liquidity into the pair. * 25% Comision ( 40% equity , 60% Devs) * GQ fees: * 24,4% Burn it * 0,6% Purchase gold to back GQ * 40% Equity * 35% Devs (used for rewards, pools or distribution in-game) THE GOVERNANCE PLATFORM SO FAR The Governance Platform got released on September 7th. Since then, around 800.000 VP has been generated, and more than 30.000.000 GQ has been staked in the pools. The first proposal allowed players to choose a new banner for the Scavengons. The second one also concerns the lore of our universe. After participating in a Backstory Contest on our Discord Server, the three best name+stories for our first Pets are now up to Governance. Go vote for your favorite now. On the other hand, we want to publicly thank everyone that has left a proposal for the team to review. Feedback is always welcome, and we appreciate you giving us ideas and opinions. Currently, we are evaluating a proposal regarding the staking of NFTs. On the other hand, some of these proposals raised questions about using SCK, which we would like to clarify. SCK is a utility token used exclusively to open Lootboxes. Players received it as a reward for staking their GQ, allowing the purchase of Lootboxes at a lower price. The team has confirmed no other utilities. TESTING NON-TRANSFERABLE TOKENS The idea of Non-transferable Tokens, or Soul Bound Tokens is in its very early testing phase. Vitalik Buterin got the inspiration for this technology from playing World of Warcraft. This type of token could serve many purposes in our videogame as well. Being non-transferable, these tokens could be used to mark players’ wallets, grant achievement badges, reputational scores, or an identification system. This first test will grant an achievement token to the first people to vote in the first ten proposals. We will keep experimenting with this kind of token, while watching closely how other professionals in the industry develop EIPs and BEPs. Where else would you like to see these tokens being used? GALACTIC ALLIANCE. IMPULSING BLOCKCHAIN GAMING We have been adding members to our Partnership program, the Galactic Alliance. Now, people from unique projects like Cryptopolis, Kyberdyne or Universe Island are our companions. The list will continue to increase in the coming months, but be prepared because you will start to decide who qualifies for the GA using our Governance Platform. Almost HALF A MILLION USD are blocked in value on our cross-staking pools. With these collaborations, we are spreading the word about Outer Ring in our allies´ communities, dropping AMAs so everyone can understand and ask freely about Outer Ring Vision and Goals. On September 7-10th, OuR CM, David Noya, assisted the AxieCon in Barcelona, invited by SkyMavis to Speak about his journey into web3 Gaming and Axie Infinity, a community in which he is deeply involved. Here he did some serious networking, getting to know relevant people in the industry and the Sky Mavis Team and KOLs from Web3 Gaming we hope we will work with in the future, like Kmanu88, Rojan, cloudwhite, 0xguru and many more. GET MATERIALS AND CRAFT WEAPONS There are multiple ways to obtain materials: participating in the Galactic Pools, Swapping or Farming in the DEX, and purchasing Lootboxes. Some materials, such as Plutonium, have more than a thousand holders. Soon, we will open new staking pools and pairs in the DEX for you to prepare for the Crafting System’s launch. On this site, you will use materials to build NFT Weapon Pieces and NFT Armor Pieces. And assemble these pieces to create your own NFT Weapons. We know this is something the community looks forward to it. Being able to create your own weapons and start filling your inventory is going to be both fun and fulfilling experience for everyone that has been involved in the project for a long time.
