A core memory of mine was visiting the National and Historical museums in Korea with my art classes. I was utterly amazed at history that is so well preserved and kept alive and it inspired me to do more research on the history of my family and where they originated from.” Naomi Rodriguez Penny Stamps School of Art and Design, and School of Music, Theatre, and Dance Read Story "Study abroad was incredibly amazing for me. Beforehand, I've never had the opportunity to travel abroad and I've always known it was something I needed and really wanted to do. Being in Switzerland was so special and I absolutely adored the country. I really enjoyed my classes and learning French was fun. I made many friends that I will most definitely keep in touch with, as we shared such special moments together. I would not have changed anything about it because I enjoyed every little part of the experience." Kayla Johnson College of Literature, Science, and the Arts Read Story "My biggest takeaway was simply learning more about myself along the way. This experience allowed me to get out of my comfort zone in so many ways. First, I was speaking an entirely different language, challenging myself constantly. Second, I was quickly adapting to a new and exciting culture." Melissa Vozar School of Kinesiology Read Story “My time in Denmark this summer bore some of the most thrilling, impactful experiences of my life. In the midst of all the excitement, I was still scared at times and had some lonely days. What changed most was my ability to push through and accomplish things in the midst of fear and doubt. I have grown immensely in my self-confidence and already want to travel again.” Avery McQueen School of Nursing Read Story Seoul, South Korea Naomi Rodriguez Geneva, Switzerland Kayla Johnson Madrid, Spain Melissa Vozar Copenhagen, Denmark Avery McQueen 01 / 04 FEATURED NEWS View All News October 25, 2024 Ripples of colonialism: Decarbonization strategies perpetuate inequalities in human rights October 22, 2024 Studying plant DNA in a war zone October 17, 2024 Nationalism forces Chinese multinationals to reclaim home-country identity Non-Discrimination Policy Office of the Provost Give Site Index Site Map Mailing Address 1109 Geddes Ave, Suite 4300, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 USA General Inquiries global.engagement@umich.edu International Travel Safety Inquiries global.safety@umich.edu Contact Global News Team globalnews@umich.edu © 2024 The Regents of the University of Michigan In Case of Emergency
