If you're a fan of the show "Hot Ones," then you're probably familiar with Da
Bomb Hot Sauce—and it certainly lives up to its reputation. This sauce is
extremely hot! It's not known for its flavor, which some describe as having a
dark, chemical taste. Once it hits your mouth, it takes just a few seconds to
reach maximum heat, and that intense burn lingers. No amount of milk, water, or
any other remedy can dull the heat. It takes about 15 minutes for the intensity
to gradually fade, making for a truly hellish experience. You might experience a
brief euphoria from the heat, but it's debatable if it's worth it. I've tried Da
Bomb twice, and while it wasn't as bad as I anticipated, it was still more than
enough. It's one of those "been there, done that" experiences I won't be
repeating.

If you're a hot sauce collector, this won't be the hottest sauce in your
collection. It's hot, around 7.5/10, but not unbearably so. The burn it leaves
in your mouth fades quickly. This sauce is made with habanero and chipotle
peppers, as well as orange juice, giving it a distinct citrus flavor. Although
it has that slightly bitter note typical of extract sauces, the citrus hides it
reasonably well. It's less sweet than other extract sauces I've tried. Its
flavor profile is somewhat one-dimensional, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.
With so many hot sauces available, you can probably find a more flavorful option
for less money. However, I still plan to rebuy this sauce, as it's a pretty good
value for the level of heat, especially if you get it on sale.

flavor isn't particularly enjoyable—more like a dark, chemical taste. Once it
hits your mouth, it quickly escalates to maximum heat and stays there. No amount
of milk or water can alleviate the intensity. The burn lingers for about 15
minutes before it gradually starts to fade, making for a truly hellish
experience. You might experience a brief euphoric high from the heat, but I'm
not sure it's worth it. I've tried Da Bomb twice, thinking it would be worse,
but it was still more than enough for me. It's definitely a "been there, done
that" kind of thing that I won't be repeating.


EMILY DAVIS

There's a certain show that got me interested in trying this stuff. I received a
whole kit for Christmas but it had a different version of Da Bomb, it was quite
spicy but pretty tasty. I didn't think it was as hot as it was made out to be
from the show, so I ordered this. I was not disappointed, I found it much
spicier! I also still think the flavor is ranging from "ok" to even "pretty
tasty" - to me and my wife, it has kind of a smokey flavor. That could be our
innards burning, but either way it is not an unpleasant taste at all. It goes
really good on gouda cheese or plain ol' colby jack! Not something I can just
"snack on" but for a good rush and a fun ride, I'll definitely put a good dab on
a little piece of meat or cheese. Also great to add just a couple of tablespoons
to a big crockpot of chili. I do think if you continually ate it like 10 pieces
of cheese with a dallop of the sauce, you would spontaneously combust. I'm not a
rocket scientist, but you'll smell rocket fuel after eating too much of this. :)
10/10 would burn again
