Multiple control systems, protocols and standards, both onshore and offshore, sometimes operating independently, do little to build system resiliency. Adding to the risks is the advent of maritime autonomous technology and remote operations. The Fisheries and Marine Institute, in partnership with University of Plymouth and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), is hosting a seminar in St. John's, NL to highlight and bring awareness to Canadian stakeholders of the risks of maritime cybersecurity and how to address them through collaborative education, training, and research. Objectives: * To bring awareness of the cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities of Canada’s maritime sectors * To showcase the education, training, and research that can be utilized to address maritime cybersecurity * To bring together cybersecurity experts and maritime stakeholders to discuss areas for collaborative innovation to enhance Canada's maritime resiliency Day 1 (Sept 18, 2023) - Hear from experts in Canada and from around the world on cybersecurity challenges in the maritime industry Location: The Launch, Holyrood Day 2 (Sept 19, 2023) - Experience a simulated maritime cyber-attack and learn how well you performed Location: Centre for Marine Simulation, Marine Institute, St. John's Audience: * Energy Sector * Ports and Port Authorities * Government * Shipping * Academia ABOUT THE ORGANISER Organised by Fisheries and Marine Institute * Contact * Follow Report this event SITE NAVIGATION USE EVENTBRITE * Create Events * Pricing * Event Marketing Platform * Eventbrite Mobile Ticket App * Eventbrite Check-In App * Eventbrite App Marketplace * Event Registration Software * Content Standards * FAQs * Sitemap PLAN EVENTS * Sell Tickets Online * Event Planning * Sell Concert Tickets Online * Event Payment System * Solutions for Professional Services * Event Management Software * Community Engagement * Virtual Events Platform * QR Codes for Event Check-In * Post your event online FIND EVENTS * Browse Holyrood Events * Get the Eventbrite App CONNECT WITH US * Report This Event * Help Centre * Terms * Privacy * Accessibility * Community Guidelines Eventbrite + Ticketfly © 2023 Eventbrite
