You must be at least 18 years old. Am I allowed to share my vehicle with someone else, or rent it out to them? No, only the driver who has signed the rental contract with us is allowed to use the bike. How do I charge my E-Bike? Your E-Bike is charged with the charging cable provided by CYCLE. How much does it cost to fully charge the battery? The costs may vary and depend on your utility provider. You should assume 0.5 - 0.8 kWh per full charge, depending on the battery type. Is it possible to rent an E-Bike for only a couple of days or for the weekend? No, we only offer a fixed-term lease of 6 months. Is it possible to rent more than one E-Bike? No. Only one E-Bike can be rented per person. Payment When will the E-Bike rent be debited? The debit for the monthly amount will be made in advance. The rent will be debited for the first time on the day of your registration. This day will become your monthly billing date. Example: You register on June 3. On that day the rent will be debited for the first time. Your payday will therefore always be the 3rd of the month. Make sure that you have enough money in your account every month on the day of the debit. What are the payment options? All you need is a valid credit or debit card. Your rent can therefore be paid for by online payment. What happens if my rent cannot be debited for more than 3 weeks? After 3 weeks, we will pass the case over to a debt collection agency. This will inevitably lead to the withdrawal of the E-Bike. Is there an option to buy the vehicle? No, there’s no rent-to-own option. Service I have an issue with my bike: what should I do? No problem! In the menu of the CYCLE app, click on "Appointments", choose "repair appointment" and use the calendar function to make an appointment with us in the following 3 business days. When should I come for preventive maintenance? You will receive an email on a regular basis with a request to come to a service appointment. Follow the link and choose a free appointment within the next 5 working days. If you do not make the appointment, you will receive a new invitation every week. How long does the service appointment take? The service appointment takes 1 hour and is performed by our experienced bike mechanics. To ensure that everything runs smoothly and the mechanics have enough time for your bike, please be on time for the agreed appointment. Who covers the service costs? It depends on the type of damage. If it is normal wear and tear resulting from use, we will cover the cost of the repair. However, if it is a matter of repairs that have to be made in the course of an accident, the party at fault for the accident is liable. If you have the "Peace of Mind" protection, we will cover the costs. You can find out more about this under section 5. "Peace of Mind" protection. What if the damage is so significant that the repair will take longer? If the repair of your bike takes a long time, we can provide you with a replacement vehicle, if available, so that you are quickly mobile again. Accident and Theft What do I have to do if I cause an accident? First you have to contact the local police and then us. You assume responsibility in the event of an accident if it is your fault. In any case, the responsibility assumed includes the obligation to repair the damage and to make good any losses incurred by third parties, as well as the reimbursement of damages to the vehicle, even if the vehicle must be reimbursed in full. This depends on whether the courier has additionally booked the "Peace of Mind" cover. If you have booked "Peace of Mind", we will cover the costs of the accident. "Peace of Mind" exclusively covers the bike assigned to your subscription. What should I do if I am involved in an accident? In this case, too, contact the local police and then contact us. What should I do if my E-Bike has been stolen? Please let us know immediately if your bike has been stolen. Next, report the theft to the local police, as a theft report is required. In addition, we will ask you to bring the bike keys to the workshop to verify that your bike was locked at the time of the theft. I lost my battery. What do I have to do? Please inform us. We charge a replacement fee of € 350 (plus VAT). I lost my lock or battery key. What now? In that case you have to pay a replacement fee per key of € 20 (plus VAT). Peace of mind What is the ‘Peace of Mind’ protection? We offer you the ‘Peace of Mind’ protection for a monthly amount that reduces the excess in case of damage to the vehicle up to 0€. Who is liable and pays in the event of accidents? If you are involved in an accident through no fault of your own, the person who caused the accident is liable for damages. If you have caused the accident, then you are liable, or if available, your liability insurance for the resulting damage to third parties - unless you have booked the "Peace of Mind" protection. Do I have to pay if my E-Bike gets stolen? In case of theft, you will have to pay compensation as stated in the valid terms and conditions for your bike (e.g. 1500 € plus VAT). If you have purchased the 'Peace of Mind' protection as an additional service and your bike was locked at the time of the theft, we will cover the costs. Pick-Up and Return Where can I pick up the vehicle or return it? After you have made an appointment, you can pick up the E-Bike at our office/workshop in the respective city. You can also return the E-Bike there after termination. When returning your E-Bike, it should be in the same condition as when you received it and fully charged.
