What is a GET / DREAMAHEAD account?
The Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) Program and the DreamAhead College
Investment Plan are Washington’s 529 savings accounts designated for qualified
higher education expenses. 529 savings accounts are established and maintained
by states to help families plan ahead and save for higher education costs. GET
units can be used for the beneficiary’s qualified education expenses after being
in the account for two calendar years. Funds in a DreamAhead account can be used
for the beneficiary’s qualified education expenses at any time. Compare GET and
DreamAhead.

Funds in 529 accounts can be used nationwide and abroad at any college,
university, technical, vocational, and other post-secondary schools that accept
federal student aid programs. Funds can also be used for registered
apprenticeships, as defined by the IRS.

529 accounts grow tax-free and remain tax-free when used for qualified education
expenses.
Qualified educational expenses include but are not limited to: tuition and fees,
room and board, books and supplies, laptops, computers, internet services, and
other related educational expenses.

WA529 “What is your dream job?” Art Contest
A National 529 Day Promotion

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

*Plagiarism/Copyright Explained: Art must be created entirely by the student
without assistance from any other person. It must be original in concept and
design. The WA529 Art Contest is intended to celebrate your child’s dreams,
personal creativity, hard work, unique artistic talents, and original ideas.
Students may find inspiration from elements of existing art but their creation
cannot closely resemble it. For example, if students want to be a firefighter,
they can LOOK at a firetruck while drawing their version of a firetruck, but
they cannot trace it or attempt to recreate an entire image, coloring page, or
scene that was created by another person. Students and families are responsible
for all actions resulting from plagiarism. Art that violates plagiarism or U.S.
Copyright laws will NOT be eligible.

Students may not enter work that:

 * is created by or drawn by another person;
 * closely resembles another person’s art;
 * is created from a template, a coloring page, or is traced from other work;
 * photographed by another person or a stock photo;
 * is digital art or clip art created by or coded by another person;
 * belongs to another person in any way.

By submitting an entry in the WA529 Art Contest, the student and the student’s
parent/guardian attest that:

 * The student is the original artist of the submitted artwork;
 * The student is in possession of and retains all rights associated with
   ownership of the art, including the authority and right to enter the artwork
   into the WA529 Art Contest
 * The student’s art does not contain material that is defamatory, offensive,
   violent, illegal, or indecent.
 * The student’s art does not include work produced by others and does not
   infringe upon the rights of any person or entity, including but not limited
   to trademark, copyright, privacy, or publicity rights; and
 * The student’s art is not subject to a prior agreement that would limit the
   scope of the permissions granted by the student or the student’s guardian.

By submitting art to the WA529 Art Contest, you agree to:

 * allow WA529 to use your art entry royalty-free, without limitations for
   advertising/promotional purposes.
 * give WA529 permission to use your photograph, name, art, and art description
   for display and promoting the art contest, higher education, and Washington
   College Savings Plans (WA529).

Students who submit artwork to the WA529 art contest retain intellectual
property rights to their work.

student’s art submission royalty-free and without limitations for promotional
and advertising purposes of Washington College Savings Plans (WA529). By
entering the contest, the parent/guardian or adult student permits WA529 to use

For information about GET, call 800-955-2318 or download the GET Program Details
Booklet. For more information about DreamAhead, call 844-529-5845 or download
the DreamAhead Program Details Booklet. The Program Details Booklets discuss
investment objectives, risks, charges, expenses, and other important
information; read and consider them carefully before saving.

Before you save with one of Washington's plans, consider whether your or the
beneficiary's home state offers any state tax or other benefits such as
financial aid, scholarship funds, and protection from creditors that are only
available for investments in that state's 529 plan. You also may wish to contact
your home state's 529 Plan(s), or any other 529 Plan, to learn more about those
plans' features, benefits, and limitations. Remember that state-based benefits
should be one of many appropriately weighted factors to consider when making an
investment decision. In addition, you should periodically assess, and if
appropriate, adjust your Section 529 Plan investment choices with your time
horizon, risk tolerance, and investment objectives in mind.

The Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) program and DreamAhead College Investment
Plan (DreamAhead) are qualified tuition programs sponsored and distributed by
the State of Washington. The Committee on Advanced Tuition Payment and College
Savings administers, and the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC)
supports the plans.

WSAC provides program management, recordkeeping, and administrative support for
GET. The Washington State Investment Board oversees GET’s investments. If
in-state tuition decreases in the future, GET tuition units may lose value.

Vestwell State Savings, LLC provides program management, recordkeeping, and
administrative support services for DreamAhead.  BNY Mellon Advisors provides
investment advisory services for DreamAhead. The underlying mutual funds in
which DreamAhead’s portfolios are invested are managed by various investment
managers, including Fidelity®, Vanguard, and Schwab Funds. The underlying mutual
funds may change at any time without notice. DreamAhead investment returns are
not guaranteed and you could lose money by investing in the plan. None of the
State of Washington, its agencies, Vestwell State Savings, BNY Mellon Advisors,
nor any of their applicable affiliates insures or guarantees accounts or any
investment returns on any DreamAhead account.

BNY Mellon Advisors is an investment advisor registered in the United States
under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
