MONSTER HUNTER RISE BEGINNER'S GUIDE A quick guide to getting started in your Monster Hunter Rise journey! MONTER HUNTER RISE WIKI GUIDE Monster Hunter Rise Wiki Guide is a site for the Monster Hunter action RPG "MHR" that will transport players to the colorful Kamura Village, an all-new serene mountain locale that attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. After hunters equip their armor and select from one of the various weapon types, all-new hunting grounds await, including the ancient Shrine Ruins and more. The debut of the new “Wirebug” mechanic allows for wire-based grappling actions that can be used to scale cliffs and other hard-to-reach areas, providing new traversal and aerial attack options. As players defeat monsters and progress through the game, items from fallen foes can be used to craft unique weapons and armor that will increase their chances of future success and survival. Hunters can tackle these challenges solo, or with up to three other players in local or cooperative online play, and players on the Nintendo Switch system can take advantage of the versatility in being able to hunt anywhere, anytime and with anyone! WHAT IS MONSTER HUNTER RISE? Monster Hunter Rise is the latest entry in the wildly popular Action RPG Series. Following the success of Monster Hunter World, Capcom reiterates on its tried and true formula, once again evolving the series and taking it to new heights. Monster Hunter Rise is set in the colorful Kamura Village, an all-new serene mountain locale that attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. After hunters equip their armor and select from one of the various weapon types, all-new hunting grounds await, including the ancient Shrine Ruins and more. As players defeat monsters and progress through the game, items from fallen foes can be used to craft unique weapons and armor that will increase their chances of future success and survival. Hunters can tackle these challenges solo, or with up to three other players in local or cooperative online play. Further expanding on the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Rise provides players with an inventive set of new tools to track down and defeat threatening monsters. For the first time ever in a Monster Hunter game, free-form grappling actions can be performed by using a "Wirebug", a creature endemic to the new Kamura locale. The locals of Kamura Village have mastered the art of graceful traversal through the air, across mountains, chasms and other perilous terrain by grabbing onto the magical silk produced by these small but powerful creatures. These techniques are a treasured secret of Kamura and add an all-new level of aerial maneuverability and verticality to hunting strategies and tactics. The game also debuts new hunting partners called Palamutes; personalized and rideable “Canyne” companions that provide players with a new set of attack options and a quick way to get around, while the beloved Palicoes make a return, once again serving as invaluable support for hunters. Monster Hunter Rise also features brand-new Monsters, as well as series staples and returning foes. With the release of the Sunbreak Expansion, Monster Hunter Rise ascends even further with all new features. See the Sunbreak Section below for details. MONSTER HUNTER RISE KEY GAMEPLAY FEATURES * Rise to New Heights – The debut of the new “Wirebug” mechanic allows for wire-based grappling actions that can be used to scale cliffs, mountain faces, towering ruins and other hard-to-reach areas, providing a new, graceful traversal method and a strong sense of verticality to the hunting experience. * New and Returning Monsters – The game introduces Magnamalo, a menacing new flagship monster, as well as other new monsters like the shape-shifting Aknosom, the amphibious Tetranadon, and more. Hunters can also expect to encounter numerous fan-favorites and returning species from previous Monster Hunter games. Rise through the ranks to take on tougher challenges and face new, malevolent threats! * Become the Ultimate Hunter - Pick from one of 14 Weapon-types to master. Whether you wish to stylishly dispatch monsters with the counter-heavy Long Sword, bash and decimate skulls with the almighty Hammer or snipe threats from afar with the Haevy Bowgun, there is a weapon and playstyle for everyone! Defeat your opponents and harvest their materials to forge all-new Weapons and Armor. Upgrade your gear with Decorations to gain powerful Skills that will make you an even more effective hunter. * Unleash Powerful Techniques - Outclass your opponents by using trained Wirebugs to perform Silkbind abilities; secret techniques that utilize the Ironsilk of these native beetles to let loose devastating attacks, defensive counters and evasive maneuvers. These techniques add a whole new dimension to hunting and allow hunters to quickly turn the tide of battle in various ways. * Buddies Galore! – New hunting partners called Palamutes can be personalized and used to ride across the terrain, providing players with all-new traveling and attack options. The beloved Palicoes also make a return to round out the hunter's support. Hunters can hire and train a gang of these furry friends, collectively known as Buddies, each with their own unique traits, skills and abilities that can aid hunters in and out of combat. On solo hunts, players can select both a Palamute and Palico to assist them, while multiplayer hunters can bring one or the other into the field. * Repel the Rampage – In addition to the plethora of solo and multiplayer quests, the immersive story mode will charge aspiring hunters with discovering the secrets behind the puzzling “Rampage” phenomenon that threatens Kamura Village. Rampage Missions will become available once in a while, tasking players with defending the village from a horde of frenzied Monsters by taking part in a special tower-defense-like quest, utilizing the village's defensive implements and the support of the local warriors to push back the invasion. * Hunting Options – Play solo, or join up to three other hunters in local or online co-op play. The Nintendo Switch system also allows for hunting anywhere, anytime and with anyone! * Seamless Gameplay – Featuring maps with no loading times, the continuous gameplay of Monster Hunter Rise ensures that players will remain on their quests as soon as the hunt begins, without loading screens interupting transitions between areas. * Persistent Japanese Theme - Monster Hunter Rise leans into a very heavy Japanese inspiration for its theme. From the architecture in its various locales, the music punctuated by shamisen and taiko instrumentals, to the Shogun-inspired appearance of the flagship monster Magnamalo and the Sumi-e artistic styling featured throughout menus, Rise invokes a strong and vibrant connection to the storied culture and traditions of Japan. Additionally, players with a save data on PS4 will be able to transfer saves when upgrading to a PS5 upon launching the game for the first time. WHAT DO YOU DO IN MONSTER HUNTER RISE? Monster Hunting is the name of the game! As with all Monster Hunter titles, Rise follows the familiar gameplay loop of hunting down Monsters, collecting their Materials, crafting and upgrading Weapons and Armor and taking on ever-growing challenges. A Hunter Ranking system serves to provide various milestones for you to work towards to unlock more content and features. You begin Rise as a Low Rank hunter in Kamura Village looking to make a name for yourself. As you progress through the story and hunt the biggest, most terrifying Monsters, you raise your rank and break through several caps, eventually unlocking High Rank and Master Rank content which feature even tougher Monsters which drop rarer materials used to craft even more powerful equipment. This gameplay loop persists throughout the game as it grows with DLC and Free Title Updates providing a constant wave of content drops to keep the hunt going. WHAT MONSTERS ARE IN MONSTER HUNTER RISE? Monster Hunter Rise's roster of creatures includes plenty of brand new, never before seen Large Monsters that make their first appearance in the game such as Goss Harag and Almudron. It is also made up of returning favorites such as Chameleos and Bazelgeuse, as well as series staples such as Rathalos, Rathian and Diablos. With the release of the Sunbreak Expansion, the roster grows further with the addition of variants of existing MH Rise Monsters as well as those of the Monster Hunter Series as a whole. The following is a full list of all Large Monsters that players can hunt in Monster Hunter Rise: Aknosom ♦ Almudron ♦ Amatsu ♦ Anjanath ♦ Apex Arzuros ♦ Apex Diablos ♦ Apex Mizutsune ♦ Apex Rathalos ♦ Apex Rathian ♦ Apex Zinogre ♦ Arzuros ♦ Astalos ♦ Aurora Somnacanth ♦ Barioth ♦ Barroth ♦ Basarios ♦ Bazelgeuse ♦ Bishaten ♦ Blood Orange Bishaten ♦ Chameleos ♦ Chaotic Gore Magala ♦ Crimson Glow Valstrax ♦ Daimyo Hermitaur ♦ Diablos ♦ Espinas ♦ Flaming Espinas ♦ Furious Rajang ♦ Gaismagorm ♦ Garangolm ♦ Gold Rathian ♦ Gore Magala ♦ Goss Harag ♦ Great Baggi ♦ Great Izuchi ♦ Great Wroggi ♦ Jyuratodus ♦ Khezu ♦ Kulu-Ya-Ku ♦ Kushala Daora ♦ Lagombi ♦ Lucent Nargacuga ♦ Lunagaron ♦ Magma Almudron ♦ Magnamalo ♦ Malzeno ♦ Mizutsune ♦ Nargacuga ♦ Narwa the Allmother ♦ Primordial Malzeno ♦ Pukei-Pukei ♦ Pyre Rakna-Kadaki ♦ Rajang ♦ Rakna-Kadaki ♦ Rathalos ♦ Rathian ♦ Risen Chameleos ♦ Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax ♦ Risen Kushala Daora ♦ Risen Shagaru Magala ♦ Risen Teostra ♦ Royal Ludroth ♦ Scorned Magnamalo ♦ Seething Bazelgeuse ♦ Seregios ♦ Shagaru Magala ♦ Shogun Ceanataur ♦ Silver Rathalos ♦ Somnacanth ♦ Teostra ♦ Tetranadon ♦ Thunder Serpent Narwa ♦ Tigrex ♦ Tobi-Kadachi ♦ Velkhana ♦ Violet Mizutsune ♦ Volvidon ♦ Wind Serpent Ibushi ♦ Zinogre WHAT MAKES MONSTER HUNTER RISE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TITLES IN THE SERIES? As its name implies, Monster Hunter Rise places a greater emphasis on verticality like never before seen in a Monster Hunter game. The addition of the Wirebug mechanic adds free-form grappling that allows hunters to, quite literally, rise to new heights and explore the environments which are comprised of mountainous regions, towering structures and deep chasms the likes of which cannot be traversed by normal means. Want to feel like an expert level ninja, gracefully running across walls and dashing through massive gaps to reach your target? The Wirebug is the answer! Aside from exploration, the Wirebug also plays a large role in Monster Hunter Rise's combat, allowing hunters to perform powerful Silkbind Attacks and outmaneuver their opponents. Another new feature is the addition of the Switch Skills mechanic, which makes it possible to modify your hunter's moveset and tailor them to your Weapon choices, playstyles and skill level. Monster Hunter Rise also features the Rampage quest type which is a hybrid Monster Hunting/Tower Defense gameplay mode that offers a break from traditional hunting while still offering meaningful rewards. Perhaps the biggest difference from previous titles is Monster Hunter Rise's accessibility for newer players and those who wish to play solo. The Monster Hunter series has always been known for punishing difficulty, particularly in the later stages of each game, but Rise provides a more gentler difficulty curve and a plethora of ways to make hunts easier including the Wyvern Riding mechanic, up to two companions per hunter in the form of Palicoes and Palamutes, each with their own specialties and skills that complement the hunters' own, and the brand new Follower Collab Quests which allows for team-ups with the story characters. The ability to craft your own Decorations also alleviates a lot of the "RNG" typically present in the looting system of these titles, making it much easier to create, add to and complete your builds. WHAT IS THE ENDGAME LIKE IN MONSTER HUNTER RISE? Completed the Main Campaign and not sure what to do next? The short answer is to keep playing! The game truly opens up once you've completed the Story encounters. New encounters and Monsters unlock as you rise in Rank and achieve certain milestones. The Base Game goes up to High Rank which features moderately difficult content. Owners of the Sunbreak Expansion also get to tackle Master Rank content, featuring Quests and Monsters that are a whole other level above their Low Rank and High Rank counterparts. Sunbreak also features Anomaly Quests and Investigations, new quest types that once again adds to the gameplay loop along with the Anomaly Research Level ranking system which works similar to Hunter Rank and Master Rank, serving as a measure of progression within the new quest system and unlocking bigger challenges as hunters increase their level. Aside from these standard hunts, players also have access to Event Quests, Arena Quests, Challenge Quests and more! The game is constantly growing and the endgame shifts towards the latest challenge as you improve your skills as a hunter. In the present day, a young aspirant is promoted to Hunter by the local Hunters Guild. Seeing signs of an impending recurrence of the calamitous Rampage, the Village Elder Fugen tasks this newest recruit to investigate these signs and help prepare Kamura for an attack by embarking on quests, culling the local monster population and gathering supplies to bolster the defenses of the village. But a malignant force stirs in the dark and an ever-present threat looms over the village and its citizens. As the rookie hunter, you must join forces with the Warriors of Kamura and rise through the ranks as you take on bigger and bigger challenges to discover the true cause of the Rampage. MONSTER HUNTER RISE GAMEPLAY MECHANICS & FEATURES -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASCEND TO GREATER HEIGHTS Monster Hunter Rise once again evolves the formula of the award-winning and top-selling Monster Hunter franchise. Expanding on the revolutionary systems introduced in Monster Hunter World and its Iceborne expansion, Monster Hunter Rise introduces the brand new Wirebug mechanic, allowing players to, quite literally — rise above the battlefield, utilize the environment to their advantage and get the jump on targets. The citizens of Kamura have mastered the art of grappling through the air while grabbing onto the extremely durable silk produced by the peculiar Wirebug species of beetles native to the area which these warriors have trained for ages, honing their extreme mobility and forming an almost symbiotic bond with the creatures. Using Wirebugs, hunters can perform huge leaps upward or kickstart ninja-like maneuvers such as running up and across walls and other vertical surfaces or swinging through the air to reach even further. Rise's premier mechanic lends itself to a lot of verticality, allowing for a whole new dimension of exploration never before seen in the series. Wirebug maneuvers also have their place in combat applications, allowing hunters to quickly dash across the ground to close the distance with a Monster or disengage and evade perilous attacks to gain some breathing room. Hunters have two Wirebug gauges by default, which slowly fill up upon each use. They can also find Wirebugs out in the wild to gain a temporary third gauge, further improving their traversal capabilities. FACE OFF AGAINST POWERFUL FOES Monster Hunter Rise introduces many new Monsters into the series' evergrowing roster of creatures, such as the mystifying and crane-like Aknosom, the mischievous fruit-wielding Bishaten and the imposing flagship monster Magnamalo. In keeping with Rise's persistent Japanese theme, these newcomers draw inspiration from Japanese Folklore, be it through their appearance, behavior or the lovingly crafted backstories for each Monster. Series vets will also see the return of fan favorites such as the shadowy assassin Nargacuga, the dreaded enigma Khezu, as well as series staples such as Rathian and Rathalos. More Monsters are being added via Title Updates and Expansions as Capcom continuously develops new post-game content. MASTER 14 DIFFERENT WEAPONS Just like the titles before it, Mosnter Hunter Rise offers 14 different weapon types to choose from, each with its own unique playstyle, moveset and mechanics. Rend flesh and sever tails with the gigantic Great Sword. Dash through the battlefield in a whirlwind of Dual Blades strikes. Bombard your opponent with explosions from afar with the Heavy Bowgun. Protect your allies from the biggest attacks with the Lance. Whatever playstyle you prefer, there is a Weapon for you! Take on the biggest, most powerful opponents and harvest their materials to craft new weapons or upgrae existing ones. There are hundreds of optiosn to choose from and each hunting experience is different depending on your choice of weaponry and approach. HUNT, GATHER AND CRAFT YOUR WAY TO THE TOP Hunting is the name of the game and with it comes ever more dangerous challenges. Keep up with the hunt by defeating Monsters, grabbing their materials as well as the resources found throughout each locale to craft new Armor pieces. Each piece of Armor in Monster Hunter Rise comes with its own defensive properties, resistances and Skills. These skills improve your hunter in many different ways, from raising your chance to deal critical damage, reducing your stamina consumption, to negating certain negative effects or improving your health recovery. Finetune your build by mixing and matching pieces from different sets or equip pieces from the same set to gain defensive bonuses. More advanced hunters will also gain access to Decorations, special jewels that can be slotted into Armor to gain additional Skills or improve existing ones. The combinations are endless and mastering the intricacies of your equipment and abilities is the key to gaining the upper hand in combat. UNLEASH POWERFUL SILKBIND ATTACKS Aside from traversal properties, Wirebugs are also so intune with their hunter friends that they can assist in combat in the form of powerful Silkbind Attacks and maneuvers. Silkbind Attacks utilize the Wirebug's extremely durable Ironsilk to fuel special techniques with varying effects including dealing massive damage, guarding the biggest hits, quickly repositioning while in combat, triggering devastating counterattacks and many more. Each weapon type has its own set of Silkbind Attacks, some of which can be swapped out for the other during preparation at camp or in the village. This swap-out mechanic is also available for certain regular movesets for each weapon via the Switch Skills mechanic, allowing for diverse builds to better take on specific hunts and challenges. EXPLORE NEW AND FAMILIAR LOCATIONS Monster Hunter Rise will take players to brand new locales such as the ancient Shrine Ruins and the frigid Frost Islands. Players will also see the return of locales seen in previous titles such as the Flooded Forest and Sandy Plains, updated to match this modern iteration of the series. Each one of these locales has its own unique ecosystems made up of small and large Monsters, endemic creatures, as well as local specialties and resources. With Rise's emphasis on verticality and incomparable mobility, these locales will also feature varied levels of elevation to complement the new gameplay mechanics. Whether it's a location you've seen before or are visiting for the first time, the experience will be entirely new! BRING YOUR BUDDIES Monster Hunter Rise introduces a brand new type of Companion in the form of the agile Palamutes, furry canine warriors that are not only capable warriors but can also serve as mounts for Hunters to get around much quicker. Palamutes can be brought along with the beloved series staple Palicoes to support the Hunter on quests. While Palicoes will act on their own according to their skillsets, Palamutes will attack in tandem with the hunter, creating a deadly whirlwind of combos to easily take vulnerable Monsters down. Like the Palicoes, Palamutes have their own setsof equipment and they also have unique gadgets that grant them skills to use in combat. Palicoes and Palamutes can be hired through Iori at the Buddy Plaza and each one has varying traits and skillsets that can be honed by bringing them on hunts or having them train at the Dojo. Never hunt alone, bring a Buddy or two! DISCOVER KAMURA VILLAGE Kamura Village serves as the primary location in Monster Hunter Rise and the hoomebase of all Hunter's Guild operations. This serene little settlement is home to a cast of colorful characters, all of whom serve as its protectors. Kamura is host to several facilities which serve to prepare and equip hunters with all the right tools to take on hunts. Drop by the Steelworks to see the mighty Elder Fugen or witness Master Hamon perpetually honing the village's ancient smithing arts. Visit Yomogi the Chef at the Tea Shop, sample the delightful Dango Treats she has on offer and gain powerful bonuses for your next hunt. Lounge around with your pals at the Gathering Hub while waiting for your next mission. Take a stroll through the Buddy Plaza for all your buddy needs, including recruitment, training, and sending them on their very own Meowcenary missions. Speak to Hinoa and Minoto to see what new quests they have available for you. Kamura is a beautiful place marred by the tragedy of the Rampage and it is up to you and your companions to maintain its legacy. QUELL THE RAMPAGE The Rampage approaches! Take part in the defense of Kamura as a massive horde of Monsters invade the village. Rampage Missions charge you with repeling the invasion by setting up Hunting Installations all around the Stronghold, the frontline of defense for Kamura Village. Hunter have access to varying Hunting Installations, each with their own strengths and situational advantages. Monsters will come in waves with as many as 10 rampaging across the battlefield at once. Each Monster belongs to a certain archetype and they will either rush through towards the different gates of the Stronghold, charge defending hunters or bombard the area with projectiles from the air. Players will unlock more powerful Hunting Installations as their Stronghold levels up throughout the course of a Rampage Mission, allowing them to better defend the village for the final wave. Some Warriors of Kamura such as Yomogi or Elder Fugen will even join the fray and serve as limited but powerful offensive measures. Once the Major Threat of the final wave is repelled, the Rampage is completed and hunters will net powerful rewards used for crafting and other applications. HUNT SOLO OR COOPERATE WITH OTHER HUNTERS Monster Hunter Rise allows for hunting with a party of up to 4 Players through local or online co-op. Each aditional player will modify a quest's difficulty by increasing Monster parameters such as health and aggressiveness. However, some of the toughest quests are best tackled with a group to net powerful rewards. While in a party, each player can also bring along one Palico or Palamute to further boost their capabilities. FREE TITLE UPDATES & DLC Capcom is hard at work to continue support of Monster Hunter Rise post-release. The devs have a roadmap of additions that will come to the game in the form of new Quests, Monsters, Equipment as well as downloadable Events and Collaborations with other franchises and media. Note aside from bug fixes and balance changes, the Free Title Updates for the Base Game for Monster Hunter Rise have concluded. New content additions will continue with the Sunbreak Expansion following Capcom's roadmap which is constantly updated every few months. MONSTER HUNTER RISE: SUNBREAK EXPANSION The Sunbreak Expansion is a full-feature paid DLC released on Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30th 2022. MHRise Sunbreak includes an all-new storyline with more new monsters, in addition to new locales, gameplay elements, quest rank, and more. The expansion is sizeable, adding 19 Large Monsters and new Quest Types as well as new mechanic and all new Master Rank content which also extends to quests and available equipment. NEW STORYLINE & LOCALES The storyline from Monster Hunter Rise continues and branches into a new theme. While putting an end to The Rampage had brought peace to Kamura, a mysterious new phenomenon surrounding the monsters of a far-off land known as the Kingdom, including the dreaded Malzeno, threatens to plunge the world into chaos once more. It is up to the dedicated researchers, brave knights and hunters of Elgado to investigate these occurrences and put a stop to the threat before it gets out of hand. Sunbreak's story will bring hunters to new lands, with new locales and new threats to discover and conquer. ELGADO OUTPOST The base of operations moves from Kamura Village to Elgado Outpost in the Kingdom, serving as the new hub for the expansion. Home to Fiorayne, Admiral Galleus and the Knights of the Royal Order, the Outpost serves as the frontline for all research and investigations into the malevolent forces threatening the Kingdom. Serving a dual purpose as both a trading port and research outpost, Elgado is outfitted with all the necessary resources and Facilities to provide support to the local Knights of the Royal Order as well as hired hunters. This includes the Smithy, Market and the Command Post. A mobile branch of the famed Kamura Tea Shop has even set up business at the Outpost! THE CITADEL The Citadel is a brand new locale centered around the forlorn ruins of an old castle in the Kingdom and is central to the storyline in Sunbreak. This massive new location features a vast array of environments ranging from dusky swamps and marshes, dilapidated ruins, vibrant open fields, lush green forested areas to harsh frozen icescapes. Inhabiting these wildly different environments is a slew of new Monsters and Endemic Life that drive the ecosystem including the imposing Garangolm and the mildmannered Gowngoats. Variations of existing creatures may also be found thriving in this complex setting. THE JUNGLE The Jungle is a returning locale first introduced in Monster Hunter 2 and has appeared in multiple titles. This tropical region features lush, green scenery interspersed with islands amidst enchanting coastlines, vast underground cave systems and lofty cliffsides. The Jungle is an ideal habitat for various creatures that thrive on its warm climate which is often graced by an abundance of rainfall, creating an ideal paradise setting. The ecology of the Jungle is one of the most diverse yet as a healthy mix of Monsters and Endemic Life travel to and often settle within its environments. This ranges from the predatory Nargacuga to the amphibious Tetranadon, to newer Monsters such as Espinas and Astalos. NEW SUNBREAK MONSTERS With a new storyline, new locales to explore and the new Master Rank tier, Hunters will be facing off against all-new threats once again including the vampiric Malzeno, towering Garangolm, and the vicious Lunagaron. Hunters must once again adapt to new challenges, craft new gear and hone their playstyles to overcome these powerful foes. More Monsters from previous rosters will also make an appearance. With the addition of Master Rank, some existing monsters will also have their attack pools and combo potential expanded. Watch out for the Aknosom's new somersault combo and the Tigrex's new bite into spin attack follow-up. As is tradition with Capcom, expect more Monsters to arrive via future Free Title Updates. NEW QUEST RANK & GAMEPLAY FEATURES MASTER RANK The Sunbreak Expansion introduces Master Rank content to the world of Monster Hunter Rise. Master Rank is a whole new tier of hunter ranking for hunters to climb, bringing with it all new quests of a higher difficulty, greater challenges and more powerful monsters. Master Rank activities will also provide an all new tier of crafting Materials and other rewards with which to craft a plethora of new and much more powerful Weapons and Armor. FOLLOWER COLLAB QUESTS Follower Collab Quests are a new type of Quest debuting with the Sunbreak Expansion. These are single-player-only missions where the player can recruit the various NPCs they've encountered on their journey as Followers to join them on hunts. These Followers each have their own personalities and quirks, and will aid the hunter in various ways, allowing for a completely new hunting experience. * Followers will help players out in a variety of ways, such as by using health recovery items and placing traps, and sometimes even riding monsters. * Each Follower will have their own weapons and attacks that they are proficient with and players are bound to find a setup that compliments their playstyle. * Players will be able to earn exclusive rewards by taking on these Follower Collab Quests as they make their way through the story. * The cast of characters that can join you as Followers will increase as you progress through the new story in the Sunbreak Expansion. * Several characters from Kamura Village such as Hinoa and Minoto will be able to join you as Followers as well. NEW HUNTING ACTIONS Following the introduction of Silkbind Attack and Switch Skills in the base MHR game, the Sunbreak Expansion expands on these systems by adding more Silkbind Attacks for each of the 14 Weapon-types and allowing Switch Skills to be changed out even while not at camp through the new Switch Skill Swap function. The Switch Skill Swap mechanic allows the hunter to assign Switch Skill loadouts and swap between them on the fly, whether in combat or otherwise. This allows the hunter to further expand their arsenal of available moves during hunts and to further customize their builds to accommodate their playstyle. Being able to make split-second decisions to swap loadouts and use specific moves to counter monster attacks as they wind up is sure to add an exciting new dimension to monster hunting. A Swap Evade mechanic is also introduced to compliment the new Switch Skill Swap, allowing hunters to evade enemy attacks and reposition directly after swapping their loadouts. Finally, each of the 14 Weapon-types will now have a total of 5 sets of 2 swappable Switch Skills, including new Silkbind Attacks and regular moves, an improvement over the 3 sets per weapon in the base game. Expect more QoL changes with the new expansion as well, including the ability to Wall Run without using a wiredash move, being able to choose to attack or mount a monster in a mountable state, and more freedom to customize controls in the Options Menu. FREE TITLE UPDATES Capcom continues to update Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak every few months, with the addition of new Monsters, Quests, Equipment and other Features. This update structure will continue through Capcom's Roadmap in which new details are slowly revealed over the course of post-game development. Witness ultimate AOE against Rathalos 4. Witness AOE against Lunagaron 5. Be target of FIVE Ultimate AOEs during final minutes of fight He never reset moveset after Silkbind tethers, traps, and Flash bombs. Is my game be bugged or did Scorned hate me? P.S.
