State of play: The company opted to forego a second in-person event after the announcement of new iPhones last month, instead dribbling out news of devices capable of running AI experiences. Driving the news: Apple top marketing executive Greg Joswiak posted on X last week that the company would have "an exciting week of announcements." * eExpect new M4-powered iMacs, MacBook Pro laptops and Mac mini desktops, per Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. * The company also reports earnings on Halloween, giving the first official indication of demand for the latest iPhones. * Last week Apple delivered a developer beta of iOS 18.2, the first version of the iPhone operating system with support for the second wave of Apple Intelligence features, including Genmoji, ChatGPT integration and Image Playground, which creates cartoonish pictures based on text prompts.
