The Quickpak K5 is a great single person inflatable Kayak that can actually be
carried long distances and should be a firm 5 Stars. I've had it on lakes and in
the sea, in sunshine wind and rain and it handles really well. But... there is
no support for this in the UK. I now have a problem with one of the main bladder
valves that will need the bladder replacing and I can't seem to get spares
anywhere. I've tried the Europe and the UK distributor and tried to make contact
with Coleman in the US, but no-one seems able to help.
Another problem is the connectors for the 3 piece paddles. They aren't really up
to the job and I have had two snap on me. You can find replacements on amazon,
but unfortunately these are not as strong as the originals. Better to buy a good
two-piece.
Amazon (who sells the product itself) also doesn't seem to have a mechanism to
help people in my position either, just 6 months after the sale. If you choose
to buy one, they are amazing fun and very capable, but don't expect to be able
to get any spares, So if you have a catastrophic failure you could be out of
action for a long time, or not recover it at all, unless Amazon starts importing
the spares.

I love this inflatable kayak. It packs up as its own backpack. It's super
durable. It's steady and holds plenty of weight (200 lb human, 50 lb dog, plus
some gear). It's a smooth ride. Really quick to blow up, or deflate and pack up.
Decent price too. I highly recommend. The only thing I'd change is that I would
prefer a (longer, more rigid) detachable fin, similar to most SUPs, for even
better stability.

Although the rip stop fabric is nice, save yourself time and money if you are
looking for a kayak. This is more like a glorified dingy. The front of the
"kayak" is not streamline enough, so it does not slice through the water with
any ease. Rather, it slops and bops on top of the water. If you are planning to
try and keep up with other inflatable kayaks, it's not going to be easy. If you
are looking to do a little bit of paddling out to the middle of a calm lake,
then just rest and enjoy mother nature around you, than this wouldn't be too
bad.

I’ll start by saying this is a great packable kayak. The oars are flimsy but
what do you expect for an all in recreational package. The worst thing about the
kayak is the integral skag. If this kayak had a removable skag it would be
untouchable for the price/setup. I’m 6’6 and 260lbs and although a tight fit,
I’m comfortable, even with the spray skirt zipped up. I had nothing but good
things to say about this kayak until one day while I was out, the back rest area
bloated up and developed a pin pric like leak. Which is bizarre because I had
proper air reassure and the hole is about the size of a needle directly on one
of the seems. Still don’t Know why or how as it was in a bunk house at the time.
I’m still trying different methods to get this rig back on the water but it
still didn’t deturr me from buying another one for my dads birthday. It’s a
great kayak. Tracks well, stable, roomy and visible.

received though have not tried it yet. So far, i am impressed with the material
quality. Sadly, the paddle was missing the two of the connector's screws.....
but i found a replacement on amazon. I called Coleman to try and get replacement
but since i am in canada, they couldn't help me from the US website (sending my
a new paddle from there) and the canadian website had no paddles... but
everything is fine! I bought the kayak expecting to change the whole paddle
anyways (after giving it a try) so i did not remove a star for the whole ordeal.
I should update this comment once i get to play with it on the river.
