INTRODUCING THE TILE CLIP MOUNT FOR EASY INDOOR CAMERA INSTALLATION FEB 23, 2024

We’re excited to introduce the ACC-MNT-CLIP-1 Tile Clip, compatible with all
indoor Dome (CD), Mini (CM) and Fisheye (CF) series cameras. This new mount
reduces the need to drill into ceiling tiles for internal camera mounting (one
may still wish, however, to drill a small hole to properly conceal the cable).
With its adjustable, steel mounting bracket, the Tile Clip adheres to ceiling
tile rails from 9/16” (narrow T-shape and square ceiling frames) to 15/16” wide
(standard T-shape frame)–covering a wide range of commercial ceiling tile
deployments and accelerating the process to mount and install new cameras. The
ACC-MNT-CLIP-1 Tile Clip mount is available for $99. Learn more.

Connectivity
* The GC31 and GC31-E Cellular Gateways allow customers to deploy Verkada
products anywhere with power and cell signal, including hard-to-wire
locations like parking lots, construction sites, and streetlight poles. Learn

Cameras
* Four new models of FIPS-validated cameras are designed for government-grade
deployments. Learn more.
* The CM22 Mini Dome Camera provides core video security features in a compact
form factor. Learn more.
* Shortcuts are a new navigation tool that allows Command users to instantly
jump between neighboring cameras to track moving subjects during live
investigations. Learn more.
* Line-crossing alerts allow customers to detect people and vehicles that cross
a digital line in a pre-specified direction. Learn more.
* Loitering alerts allow customers to detect people and vehicles that remain in
a pre-selected region beyond a certain time threshold. Learn more.
* Person of Interest alerts now include linked License Plates of Interest to
provide additional context, and vice versa. Learn more.
* Person of Interest alerts now appear in real time on the live feed when users
are viewing a single camera page. Learn more.
* Verkada cameras now use variable bitrates for both SQ and HQ video, which
allows for higher video quality during complex scenes without compromising

* Sentry Mode can now patrol multiple scenes, allowing customers to monitor
more locations with their PTZ cameras when a live operator is not

* Vehicle Analytics now includes the ability to estimate the number of vehicles
that enter or exit a space. Learn more.
Command
* The redesigned Command mobile app makes it easy to navigate across different
products and large deployments. In addition, Verkada Alarms is now fully
supported in the mobile app. Learn more.
* The new alert creation flow allows Command users to configure notifications
faster through a workflow that is consistent across products. Users can also
set up device actions to automatically respond to alerts. Learn more.
* Users can now log into Command on both web and mobile with a fingerprint, a
face scan, or security key. Learn more.
* Customers can now create temporary users in Command, which can be assigned
any role for a predetermined time period. Learn more.
* Customers can set more granular session policies such as maximum session
duration, idle timeout, and maximum concurrent sessions. Learn more.
Access Control
* Anti-passback enables admins to enforce badge-in and badge-out policies for
defined areas. Learn more.
* Double badge allows access control users to change a door's schedule simply
by tapping their card against a reader twice. Learn more.
* Through cross-device connections, Verkada controllers can now control output
ports based on the input ports of other access controllers. Learn more.
* The new door access report shows a door's access permissions in an intuitive

* Access control alert filters have been streamlined to make it even easier to

* Admins can now create multiple credentials per user via CSV upload. Learn

* Shared call flows allow admins to configure and manage the call routing and
device settings of multiple intercoms at once. Learn more.
* Call receivers can now receive intercom calls concurrently in Command. Learn

* Global SIP registration allows users to bulk configure many intercoms at

Alarms
* Full Alarms functionality is now available in the new Command mobile

* Automatic BZ11 speaker alerts enable users to play an alert message
immediately when an alarm event is detected, prior to an alarm being

Workplace
* New volunteer management functionality in Verkada Guest enables organizations
to collect volunteer applications, screen individuals, and cross reference

* Easily upload into Verkada Guest a list of known people, such as vendors or

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT FOR VERKADA GUEST FEB 8, 2024

Introducing our new volunteer management feature, which lets organizations
manage the entire process of creating volunteer application forms, reviewing and
screening completed applications, and checking in volunteers when they come on
site – all through Verkada Guest.
Admins start by creating a customized volunteer application form. Once
applicants fill out the form, admins will be able to review their information,
see the results of their background check, and decide whether or not to accept
or reject the application. Accepted volunteers can check in on the day of the
event where Verkada Guest will cross-reference against the list of approved
volunteers. At the end of the event, admins can easily see the number of hours
that each person has volunteered.

U.S. government customers can use Verkada Guest within Command in AWS GovCloud.
This allows them to use Verkada’s secure visitor management solution on top of
the additional security controls provided by AWS GovCloud.
These organizations will be able to use features like touchless check in,
automatic host notifications, and custom badge printing to streamline check-in
and provide a more welcoming experience for their visitors. Native camera
integration also helps organizations increase security by enabling them to
immediately find footage of visitors as they move throughout the facilities.

Introducing four new models of dome cameras: the CD42-F, CD52-F, CD42-E-F, and
CD52-E-F, all of which meet the FIPS 140-2 encryption standard, as validated by
the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
These cameras are compatible with the standard Verkada Command platform, as well
as Command in AWS GovCloud for government-grade deployments.
Each of these cameras are FIPS-validated out-of-the-box and are TAA and FY2019
NDAA compliant.

U.S. government organizations are now able to use Verkada Command hosted in AWS
GovCloud. This allows them to use Verkada’s secure cloud solutions on top of the
additional security controls provided by AWS GovCloud, such as continuous
monitoring of the system, FIPS encryption in transit and at rest, and
strengthened session and identity management capabilities.
Command in AWS GovCloud initially supports our FIPS-validated camera models and
Verkada Guest, and is available on both web and mobile. Access is limited to
government organizations in the United States.

AUTOMATIC BZ11 HORN SPEAKER ALERTS FEB 8, 2024

Software Feature
Customers can now choose to have a BZ11 Horn Speaker play an alert message when
an event is detected, without raising an alarm or involving monitoring agents.
These alerts can consist of an uploaded audio file or a text-to-speech message.
Automatic speaker alerts are configured from the Alerts page in Command, and
admins can set a schedule for when these alerts will take effect (if the BZ11 is
part of an alarm site, this schedule does not have to match the alarm site’s
arm/disarm schedule).
Automatic speaker alerts can be used as notifications, such as a reminder to
close a door or that the property is under video surveillance.

All Alarms functionality that was previously available only on a desktop or the
Alarms mobile app is now available in the new version of the Command mobile app.
This includes adjusting device settings, alarm schedules, and video verification
rules; adding or revoking alarm key codes; and viewing alarm incident details.
For users that do not have access to Command, remote arm/disarm functionality
and a digital panic button will remain available in the separate Alarms mobile
app.

Customers can now create temporary user accounts in Command for installers,
contractors, and staff. Temporary users can be assigned any role within Command,
such as Site Admin or Org Admin, but only for a predetermined time period.
Regardless of their assigned roles, temporary users are not able to export
information, accept terms and conditions, or create support tokens on behalf of
the organization.

Shortcuts allow Command users to easily jump between neighboring cameras to
track moving subjects during live investigations. Now with a single click, users
can access nearby cameras using shortcuts overlaid on the camera feed itself.
Org Admins and Site Admins have the ability to create shortcuts, while all
Command users can use shortcuts as long as they have access to the associated
cameras.

and large deployments. Users can now quickly access different products through
an easy-to-reach product menu. The device-level UI is both intuitive and

In addition, Verkada Alarms is now fully supported in the mobile app. Admins now
have the ability to view and manage alarm sites, events and settings, as well as
arm and disarm sites on their mobile device.

Users can now log into Command on both mobile and web with a fingerprint, a face
scan, or security key. Compared to passwords, these methods are both simpler and
more secure, and they’re resistant to online attacks like phishing. With
passkeys, users can sign in without even typing in their email or organization
name, allowing them to access Command faster in case of an emergency. Org Admins
have the option to enable or disable passkey login for all Command users.

GC31 AND GC31-E CELLULAR GATEWAYS FEB 8, 2024

Available in both indoor and outdoor versions, the GC31 Cellular Gateway makes
it simple to deploy Verkada products anywhere with power and cell signal,
including hard-to-wire locations such as parking lots, construction sites, or
streetlight poles.
Simply feed the gateway any power input and it will send both power and LTE data
to any Verkada device via PoE. Customers can further eliminate complexity with
the Verkada data plan, which works out of the box in many countries across the
world. And like all Verkada products, the GC31 is cloud-managed and natively
integrates with other devices in our ecosystem.
The GC31 indoor model will be available in the US and Canada on February 12th,
and the GC31-E outdoor model on March 15th. Additional countries will be
available later this year.

Vehicle Analytics now includes the ability to track the number of vehicles that
enter or exit a space. Customers can draw a digital line on the video feed and

Verkada cameras now use variable bitrates for both SQ and HQ video. This dynamic
bitrate approach allows for video to be recorded at a lower bitrate during less

productivity application Microsoft Teams. With this integration, organizations

interface to answer the call and use DTMF to unlock the door.

Verkada sensors now have new firmware capabilities and Command software updates
to enable all SV11, SV23 and SV25 devices to detect PM 10 and P M4.
PM 10 captures larger particulates from construction sites, landfills, wildfires
and pollen. PM 4 captures fine dust, soot and black carbon and soil soil erosion
particles.
This expanded family of particulate matter readings gives customers greater
insight into the types of air pollutants in their environments. Customers can
now differentiate between particulate matter sources and can better take
corrective actions in response to readings.

Command users can now receive SMS or email alerts in response to two new event
types: tailgate events and unlock attempts.
With tailgate alerts, users can receive a notification in response to a tailgate
event that is detected at an access controlled door.
Unlock attempt alerts send an alert when a specific individual badges in at a
specified door(s). This capability makes it easier for users to keep track of,
for example, a terminated employee attempting to gain access to a facility.

Incident Management is a tool in Verkada Command that allows customers to
consolidate, review and safekeep their digital evidence in one place. Command
users can now add relevant archives to an incident, which is a digital
repository for all footage relevant to a specific event. Within an incident,
users can annotate specific clips, review all clips as a cohesive narrative, and
view high-quality images of people and vehicles detected in the footage.
Investigators can download entire incidents or grant access to other Command
users while controlling permissions and retaining audit logs. Users can also
generate a detailed PDF report of the incident, saving time on manual paperwork.

Alarm device events are now available in the Alerts page. This will allow
organizations to separate users who should receive device and system alerts
(such as a low battery warning) from those who should receive an alarm event
notification (such as an intruder on the property). Admins can now configure

List will remain the points of contact for escalated threats. This helps to
ensure that alerts are routed to the correct users who can take appropriate
action.

Sensor notifications are now pushed from Command mobile. Push notifications
through Command mobile appear instantly and provide a directly embedded camera
link for one-tap access to the event footage.

groups to a notification, allowing for much easier alert recipient management.
Lastly, to unify the alerting workflow and further simplify alerts, we’ve added
sensor alerts to the Command Alerts page. This update makes it easier to manage
all alerts from a single page, across devices.

We are excited to announce that LPR color mode is available on our second
generation bullet cameras (CB52-E, CB52-TE, CB62-E and CB62-TE). This allows
customers to capture more identifying details such as vehicle color even if they
don’t have a context camera paired with their LPR camera.
All new bullet cameras will capture color footage when operating in LPR mode. To
enable LPR color mode on existing bullet cameras, simply disable and enable LPR
under camera settings.

A single BC82 Alarm Console can now support multiple alarm sites or subsites
within a given location. This gives users the ability to arm or disarm each

gives users better visibility into what is happening around their property at

We are excited to announce that Sentry Mode is available today on all Verkada
CP52-E PTZ cameras, unlocking the benefits of live monitoring when an operator
is not available.
With Sentry Mode, the PTZ becomes your vigilant eye, automatically detecting
people that enter its field of view. Once a person is detected, the camera zooms
in to capture high resolution images of the individual and follows them for
approximately 15 seconds before zooming out to regain full context of the scene.
This seamless operation requires no manual intervention, enabling the system to
consistently capture detailed images of people in the scene at any time of the
day.

configurable from the camera settings page. Camera events will be generated 24/7
by default, and motion event alert schedules will only be configurable from the

New features will let customers using cameras as alarm triggers get more
specific about what kinds of behavior should trigger an alarm while a site is
armed.
* If a person or vehicle crosses a predetermined digital line, as opposed to
simply appearing anywhere in the camera’s field of view or within a “region
of interest”. Note that vehicle crossing events will not be verified by
monitoring agents
* If someone is continuously detected on a camera for a given period of time
and appears to be loitering
Customers can also now set different verification rules and alarm responses for
different days or times, all within the same site. For example, you might want
to only get notified if an alarm is triggered in the early evening, but escalate
to law enforcement overnight.
All features will be turned on in Command for Alarms customers beginning August
24.

Org Admins will now be able to see a summary of support cases opened by users of
their organization, from within Command. With this feature Admins will have a
view of both currently active as well as resolved cases spanning the last 6

able to see a summary of how the case was resolved.

NEW ALARM LICENSE TIERS AUG 10, 2023

We’re excited to launch three tiers of the Verkada Alarms License that include
different levels of professional monitoring for different use cases.
All tiers of the Verkada Alarms License let you set up any Verkada device -
including cameras, intrusion sensors, access control, and environmental sensors
- as an alarm trigger or as part of an alarm response. Each license also
includes optional agent responses, including requesting police dispatch and
talking down to intruders.
LIC-BB Basic Alarm License ($600/year): Basic alarm monitoring without video
verification. Recommended for organizations that don’t want third-party
professional monitoring, or have an in-house monitoring team or SOC that handles
alarm verification and response.
LIC-BA Standard Alarm License ($1,500/year): Monitoring with video verification
in areas and during times where human activity is not expected, like a business
or school after hours. Includes up to 100 total verification events per location
per month, across a maximum of 50 cameras.
LIC-BV Premium Alarm License ($12,000/year): Monitoring with video verification
in areas where limited human activity is expected, such as a parking garage or
an ATM at night. Includes up to 1,000 total verification events per location per
month, across a maximum of 50 cameras.
Custom Video Monitoring: If you need more than 1,000 monthly verification events
or monitoring for over 50 cameras, please reach out to your Verkada sales rep or
email sales@verkada.com for custom pricing.
These Alarm Licenses will be available beginning August 24 and can be purchased
as 1-, 3-, 5-, or 10-year licenses. One license is required per physical
address.

Introducing the BK11 Alarm Keypad and the BK21 Alarm Keypad + Wireless Hub.
Both models allow employees or other authorized users to arm and disarm the
alarm system using a unique keycode. The keypads also show the status of every
alarm device in the building, making it easy to check if an active device is
preventing the system from being armed.
The BK11 and BK21 also both support live camera viewing, which lets users see
what’s going on around the property directly from the keypad screen. In case of
emergency, staff can enter a duress code or press the keypad’s panic button to
call for immediate help.
Organizations using Verkada’s wireless intrusion sensors can connect them
directly via the BK21’s built-in wireless hub. Sensors will automatically show
up in Command as available alarm triggers.
Both keypads will be able to seamlessly connect to a Verkada BP41 Alarm Panel
via a standard four-wire connection (RS485) used by legacy keypads, helping
organizations save significant time and money when switching from a legacy
system to Verkada.
The BK11 Alarm Keypad will be available for $399, and the BK21 Alarm Keypad +
Wireless Hub for $799. One Verkada Alarms License per location is required to
use the Alarm Keypad. Both models will be available to ship to the US and Canada
beginning August 24, with additional countries available later this year.

Verkada intercom integrates with traditional phone systems, allowing
organizations to leverage their existing infrastructure and workflows. Through
PSTN calling, the intercom can dial any telephone number, including landlines.
And with third party SIP integration, any corporate VoIP phone system can be
used as well.
Setting up a PSTN or SIP receiver is as easy as adding a phone number or SIP
extension in the intercom smart call routing flow – no need to configure new
phones or change anything with your phone provider. With DTMF support, the
intercom can unlock a door directly through the phone’s keypad (e.g., by
pressing “9”).

We’re committed to building best-in-class credentials that provide the right
level of security and the most seamless user experience. Today, we are excited
to release a new parking lot entrance credential capability: license plate
recognition unlock (LPR unlock).
LPR unlock utilizes a new peer-to-peer communication protocol to facilitate
secure device interactions between LPR-enabled CB52 and CB62 bullet cameras and
Verkada’s AC42 and AC62 door controllers. Peer-to-peer communication enables
fast unlock times and a seamless end-user experience, ensuring gates can open
within half a second, regardless of internet connectivity.
LPR unlock also introduces a new form of credential, license plates, which are
available on all user profiles. Command users can also assign a license plate by
clicking the new “Assign Access User +” button on the License Plate feed page.

Many of our customers have doors with readers on both sides of the door – i.e.
an inbound reader and an outbound reader. We are pleased to now support these
in/out doors directly.
To use in/out doors, customers simply set up the doors in Command by specifying
the set of door slots that will be used on the AC42 or AC62 for the inbound
reader and the outbound reader.
Only one door license is needed for an in/out door. See the launch blog post for

Note: aside from high security cases, emergency egress should be allowed in
cases of outbound badge failure.

We’ve updated floorplans to include Verkada Access Control doors. With this
update, customers can easily place a door on a floorplan, and edit its size,
orientation, and door style (single or double door) so it fits perfectly on the
blueprint. When monitoring a floorplan, each door will have color, an icon, and
a position to show you the state of that door (e.g. unlocked, locked, DFO, DHO,
lockdown, low battery). This is a powerful tool to visualize and monitor the
state of physical access control on any of a building’s floors, and to see the
status of a specific door in real-time.

investigations. The default timeline view has been condensed to 10 minutes,

We've improved video scrubbing by precisely matching thumbnails with associated
videos. Clicking a thumbnail now plays the video from the displayed time. Icons
for frame jumping, playback speed adjustment, and zooming are more visible and
discoverable.

We now provide customers with more flexibility and control over their bandwidth
usage, whether it's managing consumption during peak hours or prioritizing
essential systems. Customers can restrict the total bandwidth consumed by all
Verkada cameras at a site using the Enterprise Bandwidth Manager (EBM).
Users can access this option through the Manage Sites Page or by clicking the
site menu and selecting the "Manage Bandwidth" button. By entering the maximum
upload bandwidth that Verkada cameras can consume in Command, EBM will
automatically start to monitor and manage all bandwidth-consuming processes. If
a process exceeds the maximum bandwidth, such as a new video stream, EBM
prevents it from running until sufficient bandwidth becomes available.

Verkada Alarms customers can now enjoy an improved user experience in Command
across various Alarms pages.
On the Alarms homepage, users can now see all their alarm sites in an
interactive map view, including which are armed and disarmed, and any sites that
are currently experiencing an alarm. Simply zoom into any of these locations
and click to see more detail in a new view that includes all important
information for that location system health, connectivity, and recent arm,
disarm, and alarm events.
For each alarm event, a new Report page is also available. These pages tell the
user exactly what happened during an alarm incident, written out in plain
English. Users can see exactly what triggered the alarm, the video footage that
monitoring agents reviewed, and any action that was taken in response. Users are
also able to export and share this information with a single click.

* New motion search experience: We now offer an enhanced motion search
experience, with trajectory analysis, improved accuracy, reduced duplicate

additional bandwidth with H.265-encoded video! H.265 is available for all
Verkada camera models and all browsers. This feature will be progressively
rolled out to all Verkada organizations.
* Updates to history player: The history player in Command now features a
condensed 10-minute default timeline view, improved video scrubbing with
precise thumbnail matching, prominent motion event indicators, and enhanced
visibility of frame jumping, playback speed adjustment, and zooming icons for
faster and more accurate investigations.
* Camera notes: We added a new "Notes" section under camera information,
streamlining fleet administration by enabling admins to add purpose-specific
notes and maintenance instructions.
* Enterprise Bandwidth Manager: Introducing the Enterprise Bandwidth Manager
(EBM), providing customers with control over Verkada camera bandwidth usage,
enabling restriction and management of total bandwidth consumed at a site.
* People of Interest page: The Profiles page has undergone a significant revamp
and is now the People of Interest page, featuring an improved user interface
where users can add tags, include notes for context, and create alerts
directly from the page.
ACCESS CONTROL
* ASSA ABLOY Aperio Wireless Lock Integration: Verkada access control now
integrates with to the Aperio lineup of integrated door locks, electric
strikes, deadlatch locks and cabinet locks.

Verkada’s unique Alarm Console device. In addition to an arm/disarm keypad, the
BC82 includes features that let employees see and manage what is happening in
their building, whether they are on-site or miles away. These include a built-in
camera, a powerful talk-down speaker, a 90dB siren, and a digital panic button.
The BC82 also contains a fully integrated wireless hub, which can connect with
up to 60 wireless intrusion sensors (motion, door, glass break, water leak, or

* Guest now supports a new visitor type, "Bells." This visitor type simply
notifies a specific host and does not collect any guest information - perfect
for things like package dropoffs.
* Users now mark someone as a Person of Interest directly from Guest, and set
up alerts to be notified if that individual is subsequently detected on the
property.
* Employees can now receive notifications via Microsoft Teams, including guest
sign-ins, hosts approving or denying guests, and invite confirmations.
* Admins exporting visitor data from Guest will be able to further customize
and filter their reports, in order to only pull relevant information.
* Organizations can require that a person's face be detected in the Guest iPad
camera in order to take a photograph.
* Organizations can further customize visitor badges. Badges can now include
question responses (such as "What department are you visiting?") and admins
can disable fields they don't care about.
* Admins can permission users via Command groups, instead of individually.
* Organizations can select one or more default hosts per guest type, to be
notified in case a specific host is not selected for a visitor.
* Temporary Guardian Pickup enables schools to confirm that a designated adult
is temporarily authorized to pick up a student.
* Admins can apply a given set of Guest settings to all sites, globally,
helping to save time and ensure standardization across large organizations.
* Ability to notify a receptionist that they are needed at the front desk, such
as to confirm a Security Screen result, receive a package, or assist a
visitor.
* Guest is available in Japanese on the iPad.
Mailroom
* A new analytics page within Mailroom allows organizations to gain more
specific and useful insights into their mailroom operations and inventory.
You can quickly determine the number of packages arrived, packages picked up,
and pickup time health over a given period, including trends from the
previous period. You can also gain detailed and granular insights with the
interactive Package Volume and Mailroom inventory charts. This can help
mailroom administrators with some of their most difficult tasks, such as
accounting inventory and planning staffing requirements for their mailroom
operations.

Verkada’s SV23 and SV25 environmental sensors can now be utilized for monitoring
environmental conditions in compliance with the RESET building standards
certifications. The RESET standard, “is a set of standards and assessment tools
& services focused around data quality and data transparency with the purpose of
helping built environments become healthier and more sustainable.”
The SV23 measures all 5 parameters required by the RESET Air Standard for
Commercial Interiors, including PM2.5, TVOC, CO2, temperature, and humidity. The
SV23 can also be used for vape detection and monitoring air quality, among other
use cases.
The SV25 also monitors and measures all 5 parameters required by the RESET Air
Standard for Commercial Interiors, in addition to total volatile organic
compounds, carbon monoxide, ambient light, motion, AQI, formaldehyde and more.
With advanced air quality monitoring capabilities, the SV25 is great for
monitoring office spaces, laboratories, hospitals, manufacturing environments
and other indoor areas.

We’re excited to announce the addition of two new Verkada Alarms features that
allow organizations to further customize their solution to meet their needs.
First, Verification Rules will enable organizations to customize how agents
should respond to various alarm trigger events, such as when the agent is unsure
whether a person’s behavior represents a threat, or when they see an apparent
employee doing routine activity. In addition, we’re introducing the ability for
customers to receive SMS and email notifications for situations that shouldn’t
be ignored but that don’t rise to the level of a full alarm.
Second, we’re making it easier for customers to integrate data from Verkada with
third-party systems. Now customers can easily pull relevant data on alarm sites
and devices via the API, or use our webhook to subscribe to arm/disarm/alarm
events, bringing this information into other applications to improve user
experience, simplify workflows, and automate routine tasks.

A new integration with Clever, a leading provider of single sign-on for schools,

used student information systems (SIS). This enables new use cases, such as late
arrival and early dismissal tracking through Guest. Administrators can print
tardy badges directly from Guest, as well as print color-coded visitor badges
according to guest type, such as parent or contractor.
With student safety top of mind, Verkada Guest is also improving our Security
Screens feature. Verkada now uses Checkr to conduct criminal background checks
and/or review visitors against registered sex offender lists. Individuals can

property from immediate threats, and today we’re excited to continue expanding
our intrusion deterrence solutions with the BZ11 Talk Down Horn Speaker.
The BZ11 speaker can be paired with one or more cameras in Command with a single
click - no complex integrations or configurations required.
If a user sees something suspicious on camera, they can simply click the talk
icon on the camera feed and talk down through the associated speaker(s). The
BZ11 also has an integrated microphone to provide on-the-ground context.
Organizations with the LIC-BA Alarms License can also leverage professional
monitoring agents to review footage of alarm events and directly talk down to
intruders in real time. Additionally, organizations can configure text-to-speech
or pre-recorded messages to play as an automated response if an alarm is
triggered.

yet powerful cloud-based software. Verkada’s new TD52 Video Intercom provides
sharp video and intelligible audio across four smart receiver types. Now,
organizations can take calls on the Verkada Pass iOS and Android application, on
the new Verkada Desk Station iPad app and via existing telephone numbers.
Additionally, in March 2023, we will launch support for call receiving via
Verkada Command.
In addition to clear audio and video and flexible receiver options, Verkada
Intercom leverages Verkada Command to give users an even more building entry and
security capabilities. In Command, admins can specify smart call routing flows,
review call events and annotated call logs, configure devices and leverage
Verkada video security cameras for their eye-level mounted TD52 Video Intercom.

Our 2nd generation bullet cameras are now able to capture license plates for
vehicles traveling at speeds up to 80mph / 128kph, a significant improvement
from the 25 mph / 40kph capability of our previous generation. For the first
time, we are also able to support LPR coverage across up to three lanes,
simplifying installations for our customers and expanding the results that can
be gathered by a single camera.
We have also significantly improved the investigation capabilities for current
and previous generation bullet cameras in LPR mode. These improvements include
the ability to review historical footage, conduct motion searches, and create
archives. Navigation has also been streamlined, with the option to easily switch
between LPR and context camera views while reviewing events. Thanks to these
software updates, installing a separate context camera is now fully optional.

To ensure that organizations never have a door unlocked without staff present,
we have developed First Person In capabilities for Verkada Command. This feature
requires an authorized user to present a valid credential before permitting
access to any other user. With First Person In, Admins can configure door
schedules so that specified doors remain locked and secure until an authorized
member of a supervised group arrives and presents their credential during the
scheduled period.
For example, Admins can configure a schedule change from door locked to unlocked
that occurs at a set time, say 9am. With First Person In, that Admin can
configure this schedule change to only occur if members of certain group - say
managers - check in before the 9am unlock schedule is set to begin. This feature
will not only make organizations safer but will also save time and make
buildings more operationally efficient.

technology.
Starting February 3rd, customers can send out air quality dashboard live links
to any email, phone number, or Verkada Command contact list. All air quality
customers can take advantage of this feature. With live links, recipients can
also view the air quality dashboard without a Verkada Command login.
Additionally, to make it easier for customers to deploy dashboards to displays,
we’re introducing the Dashboard Pairing feature. This means, any smart TV or
browser-enabled display can go to vkda.co/pair and be paired to an air quality
dashboard live link through a simple pairing process, without requiring a login.

with default event thresholds. With these thresholds, events will be created

anytime a threshold is crossed, but these events will not generate alerts.
Administrators can modify the default sensor thresholds and enable alerts (via
SMS, email or other) when these event levels are surpassed.

device that do not have existing event thresholds configured. These default
thresholds will generate events in Command but will not trigger alerts via SMS
or email. Administrators can modify the default sensor thresholds and enable

the Events page in Command. This allows customers to review their sensor events

1. In addition to site-based keycodes used to arm or disarm a specific
location, we have added user-based keycodes that can be used across any site
where the user has access. Admins only need to generate a single keycode per

access, saving them a huge amount of time.
2. To further reduce the complexity of multi-site management, a single Alarm
Console is now able to support multiple sites or subsites (i.e. different
floors of a building), rather than needing a separate Console for each. This

visitors that are invited as that guest type will get an email with links to
unlock doors.
To get started, the host simply selects what type of guest they are inviting
(“New Hire”, “Visitor”, “Delivery”, etc.) and a custom email is generated for
that selected Guest Type. The host then simply copies the custom email address

Now, we've made host notifications personalized to each location. Verkada
Administrators can create site-specific directories within Guest, so that only
staff from that location can be selected as the host. Useful for businesses or
school district's with multiple sites, this helps make the experience even more
seamless for visitors and employees.

Admins can now check a box to require that hosts approve a visitor before the
visitor is allowed to continue the check-in process. Hosts will get an SMS/email
that shows the name and photo of the visitor and will either need to allow or
deny the visitor. If the host allows the visitor, the visitor continues the
check-in process. If the host denies the visitor, the visitor cannot continue
and the denied entry will be logged in Command.

Cross-domin Identity Management (SCIM) specification. With SCIM Groups,
organizations can connect their Verkada Access Groups to their SCIM Groups from
single-sign-on systems like Okta and Azure Active Directory.
This connection automates processes and helps organizations enhance their
physical security: with SCIM integration, users added or deleted from Access
Groups in systems like Okta will automatically be added or deleted from Verkada
Command Access Groups. No more unreturned cards or delays adding and deleting
users across systems!
