MAKING EVERYTHING PAWSABLE

4 Paws at a Time

PAWSable Life trains service dogs for those challenged by neurodiversity, PTSD
and other psychological needs.  We also train professional therapy dogs for
schools, facilities, counselors, and therapists. Additionally, those challenged
by EDS or POTS will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Our vision is for the neurodivergent to have access to specifically trained
autism service and/or therapy dogs to assist with their peer interactions,
improve social integration in their schools and communities, and to provide the
opportunity for these young adults to learn and train for a career in the dog
training community. We look forward to becoming THE community resource for all
things service and therapy dog related, including a member's dog park with
training staff available and a Train the Trainers program. We also aspire to
provide programming and support groups for PTSD & Psychiatric needs, First
Responders, Schools, and Veterans.

Our continued commitment to serving the autism community drives this
organization to provide every opportunity to foster and encourage each
participant and volunteer to help increase autism awareness and support for the
community at large. Autistic youth are not afforded the same advantages that
non-challenged youth in the community enjoy. Many will leave the educational
system with little more than basic life skills. Our Train the Trainers Program
will allow youth who have been diagnosed as falling within the autism spectrum
to help train autism service dogs for other youth at a reduced cost.  While
helping train service and therapy dogs, youth in our Train the Trainers Program
will attain a more comprehensive skill set and will be provided the opportunity
to learn both job and social skills, thus increasing their long-term
employability.

Paws 4 Autism is 100% volunteer and grassroots driven. The organization has
demonstrated sustained growth since our creation in 2010 and has remained
consistent with its mission and purpose.  We continue to provide a needed
service to not only the autism families we serve, but also to the community at
large through our social skills and school programs.
