ARRILLAGA STUDENT CENTER

‘Iolani School is excited to share images of a stunning new addition planned for
our campus. With completion estimated for the winter of 2025, the new Arrillaga
Student Center will transform the heart of our campus as an engaging and
inviting new gathering space for the entire school community.

Here students, parents, faculty/staff, alumni, friends and visitors will come
together to learn, dine, collaborate and celebrate, while developing bonds that
will last a lifetime.

‘Iolani School is a culturally diverse, college preparatory school for 2,200
students in kindergarten through 12th grade founded upon Christian values.

Academic excellence and personal growth flourish in an atmosphere that is
challenging and competitive, yet caring and nurturing. Through dynamic and
personalized instruction in a multitude of disciplines, ‘Iolani's day and
boarding programs foster educational excellence and personal growth in an

all Upper School students participate in some form of the arts.

state-of-the-art, five-story Residence Hall.

Athletic participation is high at ‘Iolani School. Seventy-one percent of Upper
School students participate in at least one sport.

The passing of The Rev. David P. Coon

With a heart heavy with sorrow and uplifted by appreciation, we share news of
the passing of The Rev. David P. Coon. The longest-serving Headmaster in ‘Iolani
School history (1970-92) passed away on Dec. 12. He was 95.

‘Iolani Classic boys tournament set to tipoff

The ‘Iolani Prep Basketball Classic presented by Hawaii Pacific Health annually
features some of the premier girls and boys basketball teams in the nation. The
boys tournament begins on Monday, Dec. 18.

Thirty years of ratios and relationships

The 2022-23 school year marked the ‘Iolani Math Team’s 30th consecutive state
championship. That set a new Hawai‘i state record for the most consecutive state
championships by any high school team (academic, athletic or otherwise). The
common denominator -- Mr. Michael Park.

   The big Friday finale of Homecoming 2023 “American Journey: Coast to Coast”
   began this morning at the Lower School Autoline as football coach Wendell
   Look '78 and the ‘Iolani cheerleaders welcomed students to school. Varsity
   football players also were on hand to open car doors and help the little ones
   out. This afternoon those players will take on Damien in the Homecoming
   football game, which kicks off at Eddie Hamada Field at 3:15 p.m. That will
   be followed by the Ho‘olaule‘a (5:50 p.m.), "Burning of the I” (7:30 p.m.)
   and Homecoming Dance (grades 9-12). Happy Homecoming, Raiders! #iolanioneteam

   competition. Today's dress theme is "Class Colors." Our seniors (and

   and will culminate on Friday with a busy slate of family-friendly activities.
   Today's theme is "Airport Outfits." First thing this morning, our seniors
   held their final practice for Friday afternoon's Cheerfest, which will be
   held just prior to the Homecoming football game versus Damien. Happy

   University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, spoke to freshmen and sophomores this morning
   in St. Alban's Chapel. His visits are part of our school's celebration of
   Indigenous Peoples' Day (Monday, Oct. 9), which also includes other speakers,
   lessons, resources, videos and a walking audio tour around our campus. For
