What happens to my prepaid months of Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass for

When you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we will apply any prepaid time you have
on Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass for Console or PC toward Xbox Game Pass
Ultimate, up to a maximum of 36 months.
For example, if you have 3 months of Xbox Live Gold and 3 months of Xbox Game
Pass for Console already on your account when you purchase your first month of
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you will have a total of 7 months of Ultimate on your
account before you need to renew your membership.
Does Xbox Game Pass Ultimate include all the games from Xbox Game Pass for
Console and Xbox Game Pass for PC?
Yes. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes all the benefits of Xbox Game Pass for
Console and Xbox Game Pass for PC as well as additional member benefits
exclusive to Ultimate.

If I no longer want Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can I go back to Xbox Live Gold,
Xbox Game Pass for Console, or Xbox Game Pass for PC?
Yes, after canceling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. To cancel, sign in
at https://account.microsoft.com/services/xboxgamepassultimate/billing and
select Cancel subscription. You’ll have an option to end your subscription on
its expiration date. Depending on your subscription’s status, you may also have
an option to end it immediately with a refund of the price you paid for Ultimate
only. Note that the upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Live
Gold or other Xbox Game Pass plans and is not eligible for refund.
What happens to my Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass for Console or PC
memberships once I upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
A purchase of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox
Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass memberships to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
What happens if I have more than 36 months prepaid time in my account?
The maximum time that can be applied to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is 36 months.
Any time over that will no longer remain in your account after you upgrade.
How often are new games added to the library?
New games are added all the time, so be sure to check back often for the latest
additions to the catalog.
Are games with all ratings included?
The Xbox Game Pass library has something for everyone and contains everything
from ESRB E to M ratings. Ratings systems vary between markets; please check the
individual game detail pages to confirm.
How long does it take to download a game?
The time to download a game depends on each game’s installation size, as well as
your bandwidth connection.
How long do I have access to games within the Xbox Game Pass plans library?
Xbox Game Pass members enjoy access to high-quality games within the PC or
console libraries, until either the membership is canceled/expires, or a game

Games may exit the library after a period. Once a game leaves the Xbox Game Pass
library, you will need to purchase a digital copy from the Xbox app or the
Microsoft Store, insert a disc, or obtain another form of entitlement to
continue playing the game. Xbox Game Pass members can purchase Xbox games for up
to 20% off (DLC and add-ons for up to 10% off) before the game leaves the active
Xbox Game Pass library. Xbox Game Pass discounts are not combinable with other
offers and are not redeemable for cash; discount offers exclude games within 30
days of launch and are not available with select games; discounts based on
Microsoft Store price.
If I download a game, can I access it after it leaves the library?
Once a game leaves the Xbox Game Pass library, you will need to purchase a

notify members prior to a game leaving the Xbox Game Pass library. And as a
member, you can purchase any game in the library for up to 20% off (or the best

not redeemable for cash; discount offers exclude games within 30 days of launch
and are not available with select games; discounts based on Microsoft Store

If I download a game, will it be deleted if it leaves Xbox Game Pass or my
subscription cancels/expires?
Games will not be deleted from your hard drive until you delete them, even if
they have been removed from the Xbox Game Pass library. However, once a game
leaves the Xbox Game Pass library, you will need to purchase a digital copy from
the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store, insert a disc, or obtain another form of
entitlement to continue playing the game.
Do I buy DLC separately?
Yes. Members can purchase DLC for games in the Xbox Game Pass library at 10% off
the retail price (or the best available discounted price). Xbox Game Pass
discounts are not combinable with other offers and are not redeemable for cash;
discount offers exclude titles within 30 days of launch; discounts based on
Microsoft Store price.
How do member discounts work for games and add-ons?
Love a game currently in the library and want to own it? You can buy it and save
up to 20%, plus get up to 10% off related game DLC and add-ons. Discounts are
based on the Microsoft Store price and are tiered based on the game’s global
launch date. Between 31 and 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive
up to a 10% discount off the Microsoft Store price. After 90 days from a game’s
launch date, members receive up to a 20% discount. For game DLC and add-ons,
Xbox Game Pass members receive up to a 10% discount from the day the add-on is
released. Xbox Game Pass discounts are not combinable with other offers and are
not redeemable for cash; discount offers exclude games within 30 days of launch
and are not available with select games; discounts based on Microsoft Store
price.
If a game leaves the Xbox Game Pass library, do the DLC and add-ons get removed
or do I get to keep them?
If you purchase DLC and add-ons for a game that later leaves the library, your
DLC and add-ons will not be removed. However, to continue playing the DLC or
add-ons, you will need to purchase a digital copy of the game from the Xbox app
or the Microsoft Store, insert a disc, or obtain another form of entitlement to
continue playing the game.
Can I play Xbox Game Studios games for free with Xbox Game Pass using
third-party stores like Steam?
Xbox Game Pass does not support third-party stores such as Steam on PC. We
recommend you enjoy your membership through your Xbox console or the Xbox app
for Windows 10.
Do family settings apply to Xbox Game Pass?
Family settings such as screen time limits, content filters, and adult purchase
approval apply to both Xbox consoles and Windows 10. The easiest way to set up
and manage your family is with the Xbox Family Settings app.
Where can I play games in the Xbox Game Pass for PC library?
You can play on a Windows 10 PC (excluding Windows 10 in S mode and on ARM
devices). The best way to enjoy Xbox Game Pass on your PC is through the Xbox
App. Please check the individual game detail pages to confirm if your machine
specifications and operating system version meet the minimum requirements set
forth by the developer. Certain games may require the latest Windows update.
Is cloud gaming available in my area?
Cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is available in select markets at this
time. Visit xbox.com/regions for details. This is the first stage of a
multi-year journey and we will be adding more countries over time. Streaming
limits apply.
What do I need to play games on my mobile device from the cloud?
To play Xbox games from the cloud you will need:
1. An active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership in a supported market
2. An Xbox Bluetooth-enabled controller or another supported controller
3. An Android mobile phone or tablet with version Android 6.0 or higher
4. A Wi-Fi / LTE data connection with at least 10Mbps down-speed
5. The Xbox Game Pass Android app, available from Samsung Galaxy and Google
Play app stores
How much data will cloud gaming consume?
Exact data consumption will depend on usage. Please consult your ISP or mobile
data provider for more information on your data plan.
