He joined Ingka (better known as IKEA) in 2014 and has since then headed up the digitalization of the treasury function transforming it into one of the most technology advanced treasuries in the industry. Michael also writes treasury related articles about technology issues (e.g. cybersecurity, crypto currencies) translating complex technology matters and putting it into an understandable business context. The experience of Michael stretches all the way from software development, architecture, cyber security to more traditional IT management and embracement of new technology. Michael studied Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen, speaks several languages and has a passion for new technology, history, finance and sport (including multiple national championships).
