DR ZORAN ALEKSIC FCS (SA) IS A RESPECTED OPHTHALMOLOGIST AND EYE SURGEON WHO IS
BASED IN CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA. HE SPECIALISES IN CATARACT / IOL SURGERY AND
LASIK / PRK LASER REFRACTIVE SURGERY WHICH IS USED TO TREAT BOTH
SHORT-SIGHTEDNESS AND FARSIGHTEDNESS AS WELL AS ASTIGMATISMS.

 

Dr. Aleksic graduated from the Belgrade Medical School in 1991. Before

Our eye-care centre performs general eye surgeries, eye tests, refractive laser
surgery and also treat a number of various eye conditions such as diabetic
retinopathy, corneal grafts, glaucoma and pterygium.  A fully equipped optical
dispensing practice operates from our rooms and our contact lens clinic supports
patients with high-quality soft lenses.



The dispensing area also possesses a range of elegant and stylish frames and
trendy day-to-day readers.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SEE AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST?



The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends a visit to the Ophthalmologist
for a routine eye exam:

• At least once between the ages of 20 and 29 years

• At least twice between the ages of 30 and 39 years

• Every 2 to 4 years between the ages of 40 and 64 years

• And for those of 65 years, every 1 to 2 years
