UB Engineering Program Passes Accreditation with Flying Colors
Accreditation commissions have approved three majors in the School of
Engineering at University of Bridgeport (UB) through September 30, 2028. The
programs include Computer Engineering (BS CPEG), Electrical Engineering (BS
ELEG), and Mechanical Engineering (BS MEEG), a newly accredited program at the
University.
UB Announces Significant Rise in Enrollment of New Students
University of Bridgeport is pleased to announce its extraordinary growth with
its first increase in enrollment in five years. The University enrolled 1322 new
students for the Fall 2022 semester, an increase of 30% over last year’s
enrollment for first-time students.
UB Provides Dental Care to Those in Need
After months of meticulous planning, training, and assembling necessary
equipment, a team of Fones School of Dental Hygiene members treated their first
patient onsite at Bridgeport Rescue Mission, using mobile dental equipment and
tele-dentistry technology.
HRSA Grant Supports UB Public Health Program
University of Bridgeport was awarded a grant from the US Department of Health
and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). In
addition to helping provide equitable health care to people who are
geographically isolated and economically or medically vulnerable, HRSA programs
support the training of health professionals and distributing them to areas
where they are needed most.
