MATERIALS

Student teacher Lisa Chavez shopped at USE2’s Neighborhood Reuse Center to
support her classroom.    

For $30 Lisa bought 25 clipboards, 25 rulers, 25 pairs of kids scissors, 5
sturdy storage containers, a set of pattern blocks and cards, a math game, a bag
of sorting/counting bears, 45 fancy treasure box pencils, bulletin board
borders, sticky notes, tape and a heavy duty tape dispenser.  All these
materials were headed to the landfill but with USE2’s help, Lisa is putting them
to good use.




45% OF THRIFT STORE DONATIONS END UP RECYCLED, LANDFILLED OR SOLD TO DEVELOPING
COUNTRIES. USE2 SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCALABLE MODELS THAT PROMOTE THE
REUSE OF ALL HOUSEHOLD GOODS.
