PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE

The Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram shot to international
fame when the multi-million worth of treasure was discovered in its vaults on
June 2011. Even before that, this ancient temple was a major pilgrimage center
in the capital of Kerala, with its architectural marvel. The 100 feet tall
temple tower has five windows, set opposite each other. On the day of the
equinox. (When day and night have the same duration) the setting sun first
appears on the top window of the tower, positioning itself exactly at the
center..


ELEPHANT FEEDING

Elephant feeding is not allowed everywhere because the elephant is an

The rehabilitation centre lies on a 56 hectare large campus which nurtures old
and young elephants. Over 30 elephants can be treated here at a given time. The
best time to visit is between 08.00 am and 10.00 am when the elephants are being
bathed and fed.

AAZHIMALA SHIVA TEMPLE

The Aazhimala Shiva Temple is a Hindu temple located on the coast of the Arabian
Sea near Vizhinjam in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, India.
Dedicated to Shiva, the temple is known for the 18 m (58 ft) tall
Gangadhareshwara sculpture, which is the tallest Shiva sculpture in Kerala.




ATTUKAL BHAGAVATHY TEMPLE

Millions of women gather every year in the month of Kumbham around this temple
and prepare Pongala (rice cooked with jaggery, ghee, coconut as well as other
ingredients) in the open in small pots to please the Goddess Kannaki. Pongala
(literally means to boil over) is a ritualistic offering of a sweet dish,
consisting of rice porridge, sweet brown molasses, coconut gratings, nuts and
raisins. It is done as an offering to the presiding deity of the temple – the
Goddess – popularly known as Attukal Amma. Goddess Attukal devi is believed to
fulfill their wishes and provide prosperity.


POOVAR BACKWATERS

Located about 35 km from Thiruvananthapuram, Poovar drains Neyyar River into
Arabian Sea. During monsoon, Neyyar River carries sand and mud and mineral
deposits to Poovar, resulting in the formation of an estuary. The crowning glory
of Poovar is its serene backwaters and the mangroves flourishing in them.




KOVALAM BEACH

Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent
beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists since the 1930s. A massive
rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal
for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse.Also
you can explore surfing, sunrise and sunset,parasailing, to jet skiing,
paragliding and German Bakery restaurant., Seafood restaurants.




VARKALA BEACH

Varkala is one of the best beaches in south india. Sunset in Varkala beach is
one of the must visit spot in South India. Varkala beach is the only place in
southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea. These cliffs
are of tertiary sedimentary formation and named by geologists as Varkala
Formation. They are a geological monument as recorded by the Geological Survey
of India.




CHENKAL MAHESWARAM SHIVA PARVATHI TEMPLE,

Maheshwaram Shiva Parvathi temple, which houses the tallest Shiva lingam in the
world, having a height of 111 ft, is located in this village. Chenkal.The
construction has six meditation halls, 108 different sivalingams and 64 forms of
Lord Siva. Height of 111 ft two inches. This temple is an exhibition of
traditional Kerala Architecture of Temple Construction.Temple is built
completely out of Krishnastone and wood in traditional Architecture of Kerala in
accordance with vastushastra.

Mata Amritanandamayi Math is located in Kollam district. Its foundation was laid
by Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, popularly known as Amma among her devotees, in
1981, as a charitable and spiritual organization. Amritanandamayi is renowned
thorough out the world as a social reformer and spiritual head. The Math
,operating on the principle of karma yoga or work as an offer to the divine is
home to more than 3000 devotees from across the world, who live here as
householders, monastics and monastic students. The Math regularly supports
humanitarian works including disaster relief, healthcare for the poor, and
scholarships for impoverished students. Amma offers darshans many times a week,
were her devotees can disclose their concerns and worries. The devotional songs
and chants give the Math a spiritual aura, while the humanitarian works
conducted by the Math help millions around the world for a better life.


SUCHINDRAM SHREE THANUMALAYAN SWAMY TEMPLE

The temple complex covers around two acres and has two gateway towers known as
gopurams. The tallest is the eastern tower, with 11 stories and a height of 44
metres (144 ft). The temple has numerous shrines, with those of Sthanumalayan
and that of Hanumar being the most prominent. The temple has six daily rituals
at various times from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and many yearly festivals on its
calendar, with the festival during Margazhi being the most prominent. The
present masonry structure was built during the Chola dynasty in the 9th century,
while later expansions are attributed to Thirumalai Nayak and the Travancore
Maharajas. The temple is maintained and administered by the Dharmapuram
Aadhenam. The temple is associated with Indra whose sin was propitiated after
worshiping the presiding deity and also Anasuya known for her chastity.




KANYAKUMARI TRIP WITH GUIDING

Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu on India's southern
tip. Jutting into the Laccadive Sea, the town was known as Cape Comorin during
British rule and is popular for watching sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It's
also a noted pilgrimage site thanks to its Bagavathi Amman Temple, dedicated to
a consort of Shiva, and Triveni Sangamam is a unique beach where you witness the
Sangamam (meeting) of three seas - Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea.

JATAYU EARTH CENTRE

Jatayu earth centre is also known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a
park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam district of Kerala,
India.According to the legends, it is believed that Jatayu fell on the rocks in
Chadayamangalam in Kerala after his wings were cut off by Ravana while abducting
Sita. After narrating the incident of Sita's abduction to Sri Rama and
Lakshmana, the wounded Jatayu died. Sri Rama then performed the final funeral
rites of Jatayu

Alleppey is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city's
Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake's snake boat
races are a well-known annual event.




MUNNAR

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A
hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by
rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century.
Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri
tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi
Peak.




THEKKADY

Thekkady is a town near Periyar National Park, an important tourist attraction
in the Kerala state of India. The name Thekkady is derived from the word
"thekku" which means teak.The greatest attractions of Periyar are the herds of
wild elephants, deer and bison that come down to drink in the lake. The
sanctuary can be accessed by trekking, boating or jeep safari. Thekkady is
considered a haven for natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon,
nutmeg, nutmace, ginger, and clove.


KOCHI

Also known as Cochin, is a city in southwest India's coastal Kerala state. It
has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to
Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include
Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of
worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use
for centuries.
