U.S. EMBASSY HOSTS BOOK DISCUSSION AMONG LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the U.S. Embassy hosted a book
discussion on the Nouveaux Horizons publication Success in Africa, by Jonathan
Berman. Chargée d’affaires Ellen Thorburn delivered welcome remarks and a local
school director and entrepreneur moderated the discussion.

CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR MAGISTRATES TO FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL TIMBER TRADE

The United States Forest Service, in partnership with Gabon’s Ministry of Water
and Forests and the Ministry of Justice, conducted a four-day workshop to
strengthen the capacity of magistrates on law enforcement in the fight against
illegal timber trade.
