CARPENTERS LEGACY DESCRIPTION

Bring it back to the 1970s with the only authentic Carpenters tribute show,
Carpenter's Legacy, at Alexis Park.



This fantastic production recreates Carpenter's 1976 live performances, with
performer Sally Olson winning bronze in the Best of Las Vegas Awards in 2021 for
"Best Impersonator" for her portrayal of Karen Carpenter. The show features many
of the musical sibling duo's biggest hits accompanied by historical commentary,
video tributes, and comedy fun between each lovely arrangement.

California and I went to Long Beach state so how could I not love the
Carpenters. I saw the Christmas version of the show. The theater is nice and
intimate and the sound quality was very good. The show is very much a copycat of
a Christmas special performed by the original carpenters on TV. In a sense I
would have loved more impromptu interactions with the audience rather than a
perfectly scripted show. The impersonations are very good and the voices are
excellent. I hope the show last because it is an important reproduction of one
of the most popular singing duoes in history. It is definitely a special show
and a gem for the location. The audience should be younger although it is
understandable why it is primarily an older audience.

We attended the December 13th 2022 Carpenters Legacy show at the Alexis Park
resort in Las Vegas after reviewing the Carpenters Legacy website and purchasing
tickets online November 13th 2022 from Vegas.com, which indicated they were
“psyched” we purchased from them wishing us a “great time”. You see, December
13th is my husband’s birthday and I thought it would be a special birthday gift
to attend the Carpenters Legacy show believing both of us would enjoy sharing
all those Carpenters songs, which brought us such wonderful childhood memories.
Unfortunately I was wrong, the songs presented weren’t the Carpenters songs we
had grown up sharing together but rather an array of Christmas songs along with
a piano solo played to a video of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” animation
displayed upon a pair of television monitors adjacent to the stage, which when
we entered the showroom read “Carpenters Legacy - A Christmas Portrait” ”A
Christmas Portrait”? Nearly an hour into the show it became apparent what “A
Christmas Portrait” meant…we weren’t going to be blessed with hearing the legacy
of Carpenters songs we’d grown to know, love and share…the very reason for our
attendance became a lump of coal in my husband’s birthday stocking. Feeling
duped and disappointed we left. Although the Carpenters Legacy performers were
talented in duplicating the sounds and voices of the Carpenters – there was no
indication on the Carpenters Legacy or Vegas.com websites when I purchased
tickets that the show was a “Christmas songs presentation” and NOT the classic
songs associated with the Carpenters “legacy”…a song “set-list” was never
provided. Sadly, the birthday gift of attending this Carpenters Legacy Show
became a memorable disappoint for the both of us, particularly an embarrassing
gift from me to my hubby on his 63rd birthday. FancyOne : (

systemwayyyyyyy to loud. Could hardly hear singing. I got the ( i do this every
night and im tired of it ) feeling. It was like reading a memorized script
instead of one on one with the audience. Show was good if piano was not sooooo
loud. Its not about piano playing. Overall jad a nice evening but wont be a
repeat customer.

small which allowed great seats and views. Excellent impersonation of the
Carpenters and a good show. Good experience and left with happy memories of the
Carpenters. The venue was under construction however and seemed a bit sketchy as
upon arriving we did not know where to go. Be prepared to call for a cab or Uber
when you leave.

tickets to take my girlfriend as she is a huge Karen Carpenter fan. I bought
them months in advance and had no advance warning that it would be a Christmas
show. The show was not good and it focused way too heavily on the “Richard
Carpenter” character. I did not pay to listen to him play Vince Guaraldi and
Gershwin. The final nail was him playing along with a track of the
Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Way out of place for re-enactment of a 1976 Christmas
Special. We didn’t hear any of the regular hit songs until the end and most of
them were done in a medley format. I would definitely avoid this show until
mid-January (to avoid the Christmas theme), but I can’t recommend it at all.
Also, the photo montage of the two performers at the end was super-cringy.

it was glorified karaoke. He was excellent piano player. The problem, they sang
some Carpenters song but it seemed like over half the show was him exhibiting
his great piano skills. We were expecting a show similar the "Carpenters - top
of the world" group.

the Carpenters using the 1976 UK tour, but it was more than that. Ned Mills,
playing Richard Carpenter, is a talented keyboardist and engages the audience
with his commentary. In one segment he asked the audience for a pop sone, a TV
theme song, a children's song and a classical music song. The songs offered were
Piano Man, Gilligan's Island, Row Row Your Boat and clair de lune which he then
played as a single song. Sally Olson as Karen Carpenter sang all the Carpenters
hits and made you feel like Haren was performing. Sally Olson also played the
drums, accompanied by Ned Mills and solo. We had a meet and greet with both
performers after the show, and they were charming. We took a picture with them
and left having thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The theater is small, so you
feel close to the stage no matter where you're seated. There is a bar nearby,
and they ask if you'd like a drink. There are signature cocktails available, so
ask for them. They have Carpenters merchandise as well. The staff is polite.
