With the cyber insurance market hardening, organisations are facing the real
possibility of being unable to get coverage for a security breach. Could the
answer lie in greater collaboration between insurers and their customers to
create a more consistent framework for proving an organisation’s security
posture? 

 

Panaseer’s latest research among 1,200 security leaders found that all
respondents would be willing to demonstrate the strength of their security
programme with data-driven metrics if it led to a reduced premium. However, only
29% would be ready to share this data in the next 12 months. 

 

We’ll discuss the difficulties peer organisations are facing in getting cyber
insurance and how they can be overcome. We’ll also consider how to drive
positive change in the market so it’s viable for both sides, including whether
the answer lies in being more transparent with our security data.
