MAN INVOLVED IN KILLINGS AT THE BELT ATLANTIC AND ANOTHER FATAL SHOOTING IN
RICHMOND IS SENTENCED TO SERVE 52 YEARS

A man involved in two separate deadly shootings last year was sentenced Monday
in Richmond Circuit Court to serve more than 50 years in prison.

Jacob Gilyard occupied a courtside seat at the Robins Center in late January of
2019 and considered where he had been as a University of Richmond point guard.




NO FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED IN DEATH OF VSU STUDENT WHOSE BODY WAS FOUND IN HER
OFF-CAMPUS APARTMENT

Investigators found no signs of foul play in the death of a Virginia State
University student, whose body was found Saturday inside her off-campus
residence at University Apartments in Ettrick.
