OUR ENVIRONMENT


We offer 3 daily snacks: Morning: 9:00am, Afternoon: 3:00pm, Evening: 5:00pm

We serve fresh fruit and a grain for our morning snack and a protein snack for
our afternoon snack.

WHY CHOOSE THE ACADEMY PRESCHOOL

The Academy preschool offers a well-educated staff.

We provide an instructional Bible class multiple times per week as well as
chapel, which is hosted by The Family Church the first Wednesday of every month.
We  partner with Okita America offering a Taekwondo class that fosters,
self-discipline, builds confidence and cultivates respect amongst our children. 
 We also participate in an accelerated class of Soccer Shots. Please contact us

OUR SCHOOL


MONTHLY CHAPEL & INSTRUCTIONAL BIBLE CLASSES

The first Wednesday morning of each month, our academy preschool staff and
students come together for a chapel service hosted by The Family Church. We
honor God in this way by giving him worship each month. Each service consists of
worship and teaching.

Our chapel services focus on Biblical truth and we encourage our students to
learn the words of God in a fun and entertaining way.

Parents are welcome to attend chapel, sit with their children, and participate
together as a family. It’s a great way to witness your child growing in Christ.



GOAL AND OBJECTIVES

Goal: To create a safe and rich learning environment for children from 8 weeks
of age through first grade.

Objectives:
 To teach children the word of God
 To emphasize learning skills according to the child’s age
 To train children of all ages in social skills
 To implement developmentally appropriate reading, math & science skills for
all children.

STAFF/CHILD RATIOS AND MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE

Every classroom will have one teacher in charge (and one assistant, if needed),
according to the children’s ages and the classroom size.
As mandated by the state, child/staff ratios for each age range is as follows:
8 weeks to 12 months – 4 children/1 adult
1 year olds – 6 children/1 adult
2 year olds – 11 children/1 adult
3 year olds – 15 children/1 adult
4 year olds – 20 children/1 adult
5 years and above – 25 children/1 adult

We have an average preschool/daycare ratio among other preschools/Daycares in
Gainesville Florida especially with affordable tuition plans we offer.

 

CURRICULUM

At The Academy we use the state approved curriculums Learning Every Day (1’s and
2’s), Early Literacy and Learning Model/Plus (3’s and 4’s) and the Christian
curriculum A Beka Book (Elementary ages).

These curriculums will be used to ensure that we comply with all state standards
as we incorporate Christian principles in the daily routine.

Each class will have activities
based on the children’s age level. Every day the children will be taught to pray
before each meal.
Each week they will be taught age-appropriate Bible lessons.
