I was born in 1975 in Ipswich, Suffolk. 

I am currently living in the SA1 post code area of Swansea. It really is a nice
area to live in. Close to a great city, great coast and countryside.

Last year I ventured back to main land Europe when

I went to catch up with friends in Austria, and also

dipped my toe in to the country of Slovinia. I really had a great time enjoying
the beautiful views.



My little break away gave me an idea. I have decided that I want to travel more,
and show the world that people with disabilities CAN travel and get assistance
when they do so.



I'm a sufferer of FIBROMYALGIA, it really hits me for six, I can get flare ups
without warning. Think of Fibro as an amplifier of pain, as well as giving fog
to your brain!. This combined with Ankylosing Spondylitis makes life difficult
and interesting to navigate, never knowing what and when it will strike. I have
already had to give up one thing that I love, my LIVE radio shows on Swansea's
own community radio station, SA Radio Live. There comes a time when you have to
listen to your body and do what is best for you and others.

LIVING WITH ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS

I have been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, its a horrible thing to
suffer with, it can really knock me down. 



I've been trying to raise awareness on social media. Not many people seem to
know about it, as it is not really that visible. 



I can tell you that suffering with Ankylosing Spondylitis has an impact on my
mental health.

I suffer with anxiety and depression, and keep beating myself up about my
physical limits.
