Q: HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE THE NETSCALER FIRMWARE?

A: Complete the following steps to download and update the NetScaler firmware:

    
 1. Navigate to Citrix Downloads.
 2. Click the arrow next to a major firmware version that you want to update to.
 3. Click the firmware arrow and select the firmware that you want to update to.
    
    

 4. Under Build section, click Download File to download the firmware.
    
    
    Note: The checksum is provided to ensure that you could match the downloaded
    build file with the actual file which is on the site. This is an important
    check to ensure that you have the correct bits.

 5. Before upgrading refer to CTX126793 – Best Practices for Upgrading NetScaler
    or NetScaler Gateway Appliances.

 6. Refer to articles, CTX127455 – How to Upgrade Software on NetScaler
    Appliances in High Availability Setup or CTX230068 – How to Upgrade Software
    on Standalone NetScaler Appliances for the upgrade process.


Q: HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE A NETSCALER VPX?

Complete the following steps to download and update a NetScaler VPX:

    
 1. Navigate to Citrix Downloads.
 2. Click the arrow next to a major firmware version that you want to update to.
 3. Click Virtual Appliances arrow and select the VPX release that you want to
    update to.
    
    

 4. Click Upgrade Package for Existing VPX Instances.
 5. Click Download File to download the firmware.
    
    Note: The checksum is provided to ensure that you could match the downloaded
    build file with the actual file which is on the site. This is an important
    check to ensure that you have the correct bits.
    
    
    
    

 6. After downloading the firmware refer to article, CTX127455 – How to Upgrade
    Software on NetScaler Appliances in High Availability Setup or CTX230068 –
    How to Upgrade Software on Standalone NetScaler Appliances for the upgrade
    process.

A: Citrix security team regularly releases security bulletin on Common
Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) for all related Citrix products. This can be
