The Johannesburg Zoo is part of a global effort to protect species and ecosystems by reversing negative trends identified on IUCN Red Lists. What is Reverse the Red - it is a global movement that ignites strategic cooperation and action to ensure the survival of wild species and ecosystems. We wear red t-shirts on Fridays to demonstrate the commitment to our conservation programmes and to remind ourselves of our pledge to the global effort to preserve species and the ecosystem.
