Her parents were both real estate investors, where they purchased 100+ year old homes for renovation turning them into apartment buildings. They had a family portfolio of properties where Shannon was able to shadow and learn from her parents her whole life. She learned early on the art of negotiation, what goes into renovations, and how to maintain and manage properties. As a small child Shannon would admire the Realtors that worked with her parents and she realized early on, this is what she wanted to be when she grew up. After attending 12 years of Catholic school, college life began at LSU majoring in Interior Design. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University. Shannon was licensed as a Realtor in 1994 at the young age of 23 in Louisiana specializing in historic homes, rural properties, vacation homes as well as income property. Shannon’s dad had been stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1959, long before she was born. Her parents fell in love with the Central Coast and would make the long journey from New Orleans to their dreamland every chance they could. She realized that “The Central Coast is California’s best kept secret” and when her parents retired there, Shannon and her sons followed in June of 2004, missing the Katrina catastrophe by a little over one year.
