NOVEMBER



The Registry of Aruba was founded in 1995, and was born of a perfect recipe of
timing, years of prior experience and an innovative mindset.

1995

NOVEMBER



First aircraft to be registered under the new public-private aircraft registry
scheme, P4-TBN a Boeing B707 under operator TBN Aircraft.

MARCH



In 1996 the Registry of Aruba was granted the by the FAA, Category 1 rating
under the International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) program.

1996

JULY



Oscar Whyte of Coastal Oil registers P4-AMO, BAC 1 under the Aruba Registry.

1999

SEPTEMBER



Qatar Airways & the Gulf Falcon Group originally had their aircraft registered
through Aruba, gaining them international access.

NOVEMBER



P4-MED, known as The Flying Hospital, was the largest fully equipped airborne
medical facility ever built.

2000

JANUARY



An ICAO 83bis agreement was executed between the Republic of Kazakhstan and
Aruba.

2002

APRIL



Air Astana, est. 2001, is the National Airline of Kazakhstan and began operation
of regular flights on May 15th, 2002, with the help of Aruba.

JUNE



Russia joined the growing list of countries that we signed ICAO 83bis agreements
with, allowing Russian aircraft owners & operators to register in Aruba.

2006

MAY



Aruba ratified & implemented the ICAO Cape Town Convention & its protocol,
becoming the first offshore registry signatory of the convention.

2009

FEBRUARY



Renewed our agreement with Government of Aruba and confirmed our ties to each
other and our commitment to our family of clients.

2010

MAY



Aruba issued the first VIP operations AOC to Comlux Aruba, pioneering the AOC
charter on-demand trend. Registering a VVIP configured B767, P4-CLA.

2011

OCTOBER



A.R.M.S., the first online aircraft management registry system, creating an
electronic system to register aircraft and track their documentation.

2012

OCTOBER



Implemented strategically located inspectors, eliminating unnecessary aircraft
downtime, that have a practical approach to problem-solving.

2013

AUGUST



Crystal AirCruises, operated by Comlux Aruba, registered the world’s first
commercial VVIP casino-configured 777-200 LR.

2015

NOVEMBER



For the past 25 years our mission has been to bring the bespoke experience to

2020

JANUARY



The Registry of Aruba names Alex Colindres as the new CEO after eight years of
working for the Registry of Aruba.

2021

FEBRUARY



Comlux Aruba celebrates 10 years of its Aruban AOC.

MARCH



Comlux’s Dreamliner 𝗣𝟰-𝟳𝟴𝟳, registered in Aruba, made history as it flew
from Seoul to Buenos Aires— making it the longest flight ever recorded with a
flight time of 20 hrs. and 19 min.
