Today, a brush fire started in Pacific Palisades fueled by extremely high winds.
At the Getty Villa, some trees & vegetation on site have burned, but no
structures are on fire, and staff and the collection remain safe. The Villa is
closed to non-emergency staff and the public.

I lived for years in the area of Pacific Palisades threatened by the fires right
now. It’s an area that expanded into the hills, and a lot of that land is still
pretty heavily forested (with lots of coyotes and mountain lions) and VERY dry
right now after no serious rain for months.

I don’t really want you to fight me about whether HTML is a programming
language. The whole point is to sidestep that tired conversation and celebrate
the most important computing language that’s ever been created. Then go back to
using Python or PHP or whatever to crank out more HTML 😌

After literally 7 years of attempts and at least 3 purchases, my dad is finally
giving AirPods Pro a proper try thanks to the hearing aid feature. My mother
currently cycles between 3 pairs of AirPods and is about to buy a second pair of
AirPods Pro 2s but dad has been resistant. I’m so relieved.

I’m editing some Christmas/Hanukkah videos and my sister and I have the exact
same voice except she has a southern accent (not strong but slight) and I swear
to God, I could defeat the best AI on the planet impersonating her. Like. It’s
