EFFECTIVE, ESTABLISHED MASSAGE & PHYSICAL THERAPY

Massage Matters Clinic has been based in Thame, Oxfordshire for over 35 years.


WHAT WE DO

Massage treatments for everything: sports and exercise, injuries, postural
issues, pain, stress and anxiety. As importantly, we provide massage simply for
relaxation.


WHAT TO EXPECT

A questionnaire if it’s your first time with us; a physical assessment; we
always provide massage therapy and, sometimes, a few exercises to take home too!


HOW TO BOOK

We only provide treatments at our Thame clinic. You can easily make a booking
online, or call our office to speak to our lovely Sandra on 01844 212022,
8am-8pm seven days a week.

Steve is fantastic and I cannot recommend him enough! I have been to see him for
pre and post natal appointments, as well as for neck problems. I really
appreciate how he listens to the physical issues I am having and how
knowledgable he is. I always leave feeling my knots have melted away and with a

I am a 43 year old full time PE teacher, trail running is a huge passion of
mine, not only to keep me fit but also has such a positive impact on my mental
health. About a month ago i injured myself and had no idea how or what I had
done. There are no words to describe how debilitating the pain was and I found
myself not even being able to stand up right without crying. I was recommended
to see John, at Massage Matters. Within a 30 minute appointment, John had not
only diagnosed what had happened but treated me so I was able to walk out of his
practice upright and almost pain free, I can not recommend him enough, he really
understood the need for me to get back on my feet and his knowledge of my injury
was so in depth that after a second treatment I am now able to get back to a

Good for the brain, not just the body!

I’ve been going to see John for several years to tackle various muscle issues,
which he’s always been able to straighten out for me and leave me feeling a
whole lot better.

A couple of months ago however I’d been working for an extended period on a
project that had left me exhausted, frazzled and my brain physically hurt from
it all – I can only describe it as if my brain was being squeezed. John could
see this from the minute I walked in and set about working on trying to release
the stress and get me feeling more normal. I can’t really tell you how he did
it, all I know is I felt like he released a pressure value in my head and I felt
a million times better afterwards. I’m convinced the session helped me recover
quicker from what had been an intense period at work. In short what I’ve learnt
is that massage isn’t only good for the body but good for the head!

I was recommended Massage Matters and I am so glad I took that recommendation on
and visited Tom. I had been struggling with shoulder and back muscle pain and
Tom worked alongside my physio to find the source of the pain. It amazes me how
the body works likes a jigsaw puzzle and Tom did a fantastic job trying to put
me back together. The treatments were successful and I was able to play tennis
pain free again. Tom listened to my symptoms and took his time with the
treatments to make sure it was right for me.
