As a partner in your business, I wanted to share how Canada Post is transforming
to deliver more for Canadian businesses. Last year we unveiled our plan to
better meet your needs, and the needs of the country we serve. This plan is now
in motion, with significant investments and innovations you will start to see
this year.

 

Investing in your future

 

I know we have not always been able to meet the evolving needs of your business.
We’ve taken that to heart, knowing the demands on your organization are greater
than ever. That’s why we’re investing at record levels – because you deserve a
partner who is as committed to the future of your business as you are. We’re
investing substantially over the next 5 years to build capacity, enhance our
network, improve service and launch innovative solutions. We’re also investing
heavily in the environment, working towards a sustainable future. As ecommerce
continues to grow and evolve, we want to be the delivery partner who can help
you be successful and be proud to work with.

 

We’re most excited to start ramping up the new the Albert Jackson Processing
Centre in Q3 of this year, adding the capacity necessary to boost the service we
provide you. This state-of-the art facility will process more than 1 million
packages a day. It will also be the largest industrial project in Canada with
the Zero Carbon Building Standard designation. This impressive facility is
strategically located in the Greater Toronto Area to enable us to better serve
you and your customers across Canada. Every dollar we’re investing will play a
crucial role in expanding our service and capacity, greening our operations, and
of course, improving the safety of our people.

 

Delivering for the greener good

 

We’re transforming the way we deliver on so many fronts, including meaningful
steps to provide Canadians and Canadian businesses with more sustainable
shipping options. We already have Canada’s largest fleet of hybrid delivery
vehicles and we’re committed to electrifying our large, corporate delivery fleet
by 2050. In the coming weeks, you will also hear about the launch of our latest
sustainability initiative – carbon-neutral shipping. All our ground shipping
services will be carbon-neutral, that’s over 200 million packages that will be
offset for the greener good.

 

You deserve a partner you can rely on, one who can elevate your business and one
who is as committed as you to building strong relationships with your customers.
We’ve made, and will continue to make, big changes to be that partner for you,
and we’ll work tirelessly for your business. We’re committed to delivering more
