FORTNITE REFUNDS

September 2023

WERE YOU CHARGED FOR UNWANTED PURCHASES IN FORTNITE? APPLY NOW FOR A REFUND.

Apply for a Refund

If you are a Fortnite gamer in the U.S. who was charged for unwanted purchases,
apply for a refund online at www.fortniterefund.com/file-a-claim.

The deadline has been extended to February 29, 2024.

You must be at least 18 to complete a claim form. If you are not yet 18, a
parent or guardian must complete the claim form for you.

On September 19, 2023, the FTC began sending emails to millions of Fortnite
gamers, and will continue sending additional emails for one month.  Emails about
this settlement will come from Fortnite Refund Administrator
<fortniterefund@rcnotifications.com>.

ABOUT THE SETTLEMENT

Epic Games, the company responsible for Fortnite, agreed to pay $245 million to
settle FTC allegations related to in-game purchases. According to the FTC, the
company charged parents and gamers of all ages for unwanted items and locked the
accounts of customers who disputed wrongful charges with their credit card
companies.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A REFUND?

You may apply for a refund if any of these statements are true:

 * You were charged in-game currency for items you didn’t want between January
   2017 and September 2022
 * Your child made charges to your credit card without your knowledge between
   January 2017 and November 2018
 * Your account was locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after you
complained to your credit card company about wrongful charges

You must be at least 18 to complete a claim form. If you are not yet 18, a
parent or guardian must complete the claim form for you.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A REFUND?

Apply online at www.fortniterefund.com/file-a-claim.

To apply for a refund, you will need a claim number or your Epic Account ID.

If you didn't get an email with a claim number, you can locate your Epic Account
ID by following these steps.

Remember, the FTC never asks you to pay to file a claim or get a refund. Don't
pay anyone who promises you an FTC refund in exchange for a fee.

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR A REFUND?

To be eligible, you must file a claim by February 29, 2024.

I AM UNDER THE AGE OF 18. CAN I APPLY FOR A REFUND?

You must be at least 18 to complete a claim form. If you are not yet 18, please
ask a parent or guardian to complete the claim form for you. Please enter the
name and contact information of the parent when completing your claim.

IF I FILE A CLAIM, WILL MY FORTNITE ACCOUNT BE AFFECTED?

No, your Fortnite account won’t be affected. You won’t lose any items you have
purchased.

HOW WILL I GET MY REFUND?

You can choose to get your refund by check or by PayPal payment.

HOW MUCH WILL MY REFUND BE?

If your claim is approved, your payment amount will depend on several factors,
including how many people file a claim.

WHEN WILL I GET MY REFUND?

We expect to send payments in 2024 after we have reviewed and validated all
claims. We will update this page when we have more information.

I DON’T LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES. CAN I APPLY FOR A REFUND?

We are currently limiting the claims process to Fortnite players in the U.S.

WHERE CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION?

For more information or help with your claim, call the administrator at
1-833-915-0880 or email admin@fortniterefund.com.
