ODYSSEY APARTMENTS

ODYSSEY APARTMENTS

Based in Odyssey Apartments, a humble but beautiful residential complex in
Askeli of resourceThe Katerina Sakelliou has achieved for years what it is
trying to do just now. To connect Tourism with Gastronomy and thus to put the
glasses in many four-star and five-star hotels. It is no coincidence that
Katerina is one of the pioneers of Gastrotourism in Greece and of course the
first in Poros.

Katerina's relationship with the kitchen starts from her childhood when she got
involved in the legs of her mom who was cooking and later at the age of 18 when
she started working in the tavern of her family "Spyros".

Her acquaintance and marriage with Rick, a Dutchman she met in Poros, a culinary
experience she had abroad, but also the satisfaction of her customers when they
came to Odyssey Apartments, led her to systematize her experiences and create
the Odyssey Cooking Center - Poros Greece.

A spacious and well-appointed kitchen for lessons, a garden for herbs, the
market of Poros 10 minutes away so one can see and buy the fish of the day,
aprons and work caps ready and the lesson begins.

Course deliveries include typical Greek delicacies such as tzatziki, eggplant
salad, village salad, grilled octopus, classic dishes such as moussaka, stuffed,
egg-lemon dolmadas and of course to proceed to more special flavors such as
sardines in vine leaves and lemon by lemon forest of Poros even in baklava!

Visitors can attend a single course or choose from several. Apart from cooking
lessons, Katerina tries to introduce her students to Poros through various
excursions but also to transmit to them the Greek mentality, the Greek way of
life but also the customs and traditions of Greek cooking.

He has captured all this on an international website with the help of European
photographers and foodblogers, the katerinaskoyzina.com.

No, we play, our Katerina is international!

Every year many visitors come to attend classes and learn Greek recipes. And of
course with them they will get to know the passion and the open-hearted
hospitality of their housewife, Mrs. Katerina.

Our project to get to know Greece through the eyes of gastronomy and to
highlight the Greeks who create in this field was very ambitious. He wanted
time, effort, knowledge, an open heart, love for the place, dedication and a lot
of work.
Oh, yeah sponsors and supporters they appreciated our work, embraced our idea
and embraced our effort.
We are very proud to travel with them.
