AAMI Roadside Assist is a dedicated 24/7 emergency roadside assistance service
for your car, from a leading emergency assistance provider. Available 24 hours
after taking out or adding this optional cover to your policy. It is
additionally subject to the AAMI Roadside Assist Terms and Conditions

AAMI Roadside Assist helps you with:

 * changing a flat tyre
 * towing your car to an accredited repairer
 * jump starting or charging a flat battery
 * emergency fuel delivery
 * lost or locked keys, by spare key delivery or locksmith attendance.

Damage by uninsured drivers

When your car is damaged by a collision with another vehicle driven by an
uninsured driver, we cover damage to your car (up to the amount of $5,000), but
only if, the other driver was entirely at fault and you can give us the name and
address of the person at fault and the registration number of the at fault
vehicle.

New for old replacement

If your car's less than 2 years old and you're the first registered owner, if
your car is stolen or damaged and your claim is accepted as a total loss, where
possible we'll replace it with a new car of the same make, model and series as
your car. Where this is not possible we will instead pay the amount covered,
less applicable deductions. See the PDS for full details.

Hire car after not-at-fault-incidents

At AAMI after a not-at-fault accident we provide you with a hire car that meets
your needs (for until your car is repaired and returned, or your claim is
settled) if you can provide full details of the at-fault driver and their
vehicle. Some exclusions apply, refer to the PDS for full conditions.

Modifications and accessories

At AAMI we cover all legal modifications and accessories fitted to your car,
there is usually no need to list them on your policy. If you choose to insure
for an amount covered, just ensure the amount you cover your car for is enough
to also include the value of the insured accessories and modifications. If you
choose to insure for market value (and we agree), the value of
all insured accessories and modifications will be included within your vehicles
market value, which we determine at claim time.

Hire car after an incident

With the Optional Cover - hire car after an event, enjoy the convenience of a
hire care when your car’s out of action because of an incident, even if it’s
your fault. We'll cover reasonable hire car costs up to $90 per day until your
claim is settled or your car is returned to you.

This Optional Cover means you'll pay no excess on one claim per year for repairs
or replacement of your windscreen, window glass or sunroof when damaged by an
incident covered by your policy.

Up to 10% of the building sum insured and the longest period that can be claimed
for is 52 weeks, for unit owners if their unit is damaged and their tenant can't
live in it as a result of an incident covered by the policy.

party is injured or has their property damaged in an incident at your house.

Legal liability

We cover your legal liability to pay compensation for death of or bodily injury
to other people, or loss or damage to their property, resulting from an incident
which happens anywhere in Australia or New Zealand during the period of
insurance:

 * which is unrelated to your ownership of the building, unit or land at the
   insured address, unless you are living in a unit and/or own the unit and your
   legal liability is not covered under a building policy which covers that
   unit; or

 * if it results from fixtures and fittings attached to the insured address and
   that you are legally responsible for under a rental agreement.

We also cover you for associated legal costs to defend a claim against you that
is covered. We need to first agree to pay the legal costs before they are
covered.

Legal liability

We cover your legal liability to pay compensation for death or bodily injury to
other people, or loss or damage to their property, resulting from an incident
which happens during the period of cover:

 * in connection with you owning or living in the building; and

 * at the insured address.

We will also pay the associated legal costs which we have agreed in writing to
pay. The most we will pay for all claims from any one incident under building
legal liability cover is $20 million, including all associated legal costs.

Lifetime guarantee on building repairs

When we repair or rebuild the building, we guarantee the quality of workmanship
of that work for the lifetime of the building if we:

 * authorise;
 * arrange; and
 * pay the builder or repairer directly for this work.

Temporary accommodation for unit owners if their unit is damaged and can’t be
lived in, up to 10% of the building sum insured and the longest period that can

Eligible Policies

The policies eligible for the 20% off are:

 * Home and Contents Insurance
 * Contents Only Insurance
 * Building Only Insurance
 * Fire and Theft Contents Insurance
 * Comprehensive Car Insurance
 * Third Party Fire and Theft Car Insurance, and
 * Third Party Property Damage Car Insurance.

Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance (including NSW Green Slips) and Motor
Accident Injuries (MAI) Insurance policies are not eligible for a discount, but
will count as an eligible first policy, enabling you to receive the discount on
a second eligible policy. That is, if you already have an active CTP or MAI
Insurance policy, you can save on, for example, Comprehensive Car Insurance, but
if you already have Comprehensive Car Insurance, you won’t receive a discount on
a new CTP or MAI Insurance policy.

AAMI Home Assist, AAMI Roadside Assist and Excess-free Glass Optional Covers are
not discounted.

Before you buy, make changes to or reinstate this consumer insurance contract we
will ask you questions. Your answers will be used to decide if we can insure you
and on what terms.

You have a duty to us under the Insurance Contracts Act to take reasonable care
not to make a misrepresentation. To make sure that you meet this duty to us, it
is important that you answer all questions truthfully and accurately.

If you give us information that is not true and accurate, we may be able to
reduce or refuse to pay a claim or cancel your policy, or both. If your failure
is fraudulent, we may be able to refuse to pay a claim and treat the contract as
if it never existed.

Comprehensive Car Insurance provides cover for your car and for damage to other
people's cars and property, while Third Party Car Insurance only covers the
damage you cause to other people's cars and property.

State

If you happen to live in a different state from the one in which the car is
registered - for example, if you've recently moved interstate - make sure you
choose the state of registration.

Car registration

We find your car's details by matching your registration number to your state's
public motor records. No personal information is obtained or available via this
service.

If you don't know your registration number off the top of your head, don't
worry. You can still get a quote by popping in a few other details.

Policy start date

Letting us know when you'd like your policy to start will allow us to offer you
the most accurate quote price. Your selected start date must be within eight
weeks of today's date.
