Yes The Australian Financial Review’s Senior Correspondent Aaron Patrick says it will be “absolutely fascinating” to see what happens next for broadcaster Piers Morgan after his victory over the Duchess of Sussex. UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom released a 97-page report, ultimately clearing Piers Morgan and the network ITV,… after a record 58,000 complaints were received about Mr Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle on Good Morning Britain. “It’s a really important ruling by broadcasting regulator in the UK that you wouldn’t normally think would be a bastion of advocacy of free speech,” Mr Patrick told Sky News host Sharri Markson. “In these times of the culture wars, and a very, very poisoned debate about privilege and race, Piers Morgan has been unashamedly a person of the old school who says: ‘we can get up and debate these issues’. “He’s had a win at a considerable cost to him in the medium-term.” Piers Morgan is the biggest celebrity victim of social media trolling according to a new survey conducted by TechShielder which also listed Boris Johnson and Barack Obama among the top 10 Twitter targets. Apple CEO Tim Cook came second, followed by United States President Joe Biden in third place and Vice President Kamala Harris in fourth place. Just 50 per cent the tweets about the Apple billionaire were negative and 48 per cent of the tweets received by the US President were deemed critical. Miley Cyrus (15th), Rihanna (11th) and Jimmy Fallon (6th) were also featured on the list of infamous celebrities and political figures. Despite strong competition, the former Good Morning Britain host topped the TechShielder survey with 52 per cent of the tweets sent his way given a negative grade. “I do love winning gold medals,” Morgan joked in a tweet responding to the news. The study revealed 52 per cent of the tweets sent to Morgan were negative, 33 per cent positive and 15 per cent neutral in tone. His famous exit from Good Morning Britain after a heated debate about the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle attracted hoards of Twitter users to turn against him. He later branded his exit from British TV “gutless and cowardly” after Twitter users turned his own criticism of gymnast Simone Biles’ shock Olympic departure against him. Video Player is loading. Yes Prince Harry has been labelled a "fake eco-warrior" and a "hypocrite" after he flew home on a private jet just months after warning the world about climate change. The Duke of Sussex has been blasted online for using a £45million private jet… following a charity polo match in Aspen, Colorado. Prince Harry warned of the threat from climate change during his bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired earlier this year. Twitter users have been mocking the prince with his top critic Piers Morgan labelling him "two-faced". "If this two-faced twerp tries to lecture us again about carbon footprints, ignore him," Mr Morgan said. "Prince Harry takes a private jet home from a polo match. Please lecture me more on privilege and environmentalism," one user wrote. "You couldn’t make it up! Fake eco warrior Prince Harry takes yet another private jet flight - this time to go to a posh polo match," another user said. During this year’s Tokyo Olympic Games tensions ran high over Morgan’s contentious running critique of Biles. The American gymnastics superstar pulled out of her two team finals citing mental health concerns which Morgan dismissed as “nonsense” in his Daily Mail column. At the time he questioned whether mental health concerns were the “go-to excuse” for poor performance and called on athletes to be better role models for the next generation. He also came under fire for a tweet quoting a joke from comedian Sean Lock after his death: “If I could have my ashes spread anywhere I wanted, I’d have them spread in Piers Morgan’s eyes”. Yes Piers Morgan has blasted Barack Obama's "hypocritical" 60th birthday party celebrations as America battles through the highly infectious Delta strain. The former president is set to host his COVID safe birthday bash next weekend at his estate on… Martha's Vineyard Obama's guests will be asked to take a COVID-19 test and be vaccinated ahead of the event, according to The Hill. Mr Morgan said if Donald Trump were to host a massive birthday party during the pandemic then liberal critics would say "that it’s shamefully selfish and incredibly reckless". "If Trump was hosting a massive birthday party this weekend, as America reels from the Delta COVID surge, liberals would go nuts about how selfish & reckless he was being," he said. "Why does Obama get a pass?" In his column for the Daily Mail, Morgan also said the "maskless" party could be a super-spreader event and urged the former president to cancel his birthday celebrations. Coming in second to Piers Morgan was Apple CEO Tim Cook who became a target for online trolling for his outspoken commentary on disinformation, data privacy and social issues. Not far behind the controversial tech figure was Amazon founder Jeff Bezos who recently travelled to space in the New Shepard rocket ship. High-profile figures and groups at the other end of the spectrum enjoying mostly praise from Twitter were K-pop stars BTS, celebrity chef Nigella Lawson and TV personality Paris Hilton. A stunning 73 per cent of the tweets received by BTS were positive – adding to the group’s successes racked up over the past year. Video Player is loading. Yes For all the Biden Administration's "huffing and puffing" about future climate catastrophes – in Afghanistan there's a real life and death crisis and this "all-but-senile" president is walking away, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin. Ms Credlin said US… President Joe Biden "rebuffed" Western leaders such as UK PM Boris Johnson in refusing to extend the deadline on the Afghanistan withdrawal. "The likelihood now, is that tens of thousands of Western-sympathising Afghans, and self-identifying former workers for Western governments and aid agencies, will be left to their fate outside the airport, at the mercy of their sworn enemies," she said. "If the Taliban are true to form, they are likely to be slaughtered and I use that word deliberately – to lose their lives in the most brutal of circumstances. "Biden, it is reported, was worried about terror attacks on US forces, at Kabul airport –which is fair enough at one level, I suppose, but does the risk of terrorism justify leaving behind your own people and the people you have a duty to protect? "Doesn't going soft on Taliban terrorists now only risk bringing it again back to your own shore, in the years ahead?" The group have recorded five different chart-topping hits in the last 10 months, beating a record set by Michael Jackson in the 1980s.
