WE ARE CHAMPIONS FOR WILDLIFE

As a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, Utah’s Hogle Zoo upholds the highest
animal care standards in the world as an accredited member of the Association of
Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) since 1979 — a distinction given to only 10% of animal
institutions.

Are you a zoo member? Stop by the zoo after work on select Tuesdays throughout
the summer months. These events are the perfect opportunity to see the zoo
during golden hour without the general public.

ARMED FORCES DAY (MILITARY APPRECIATION)

Utah’s Hogle Zoo thanks and welcomes active service members, retired veterans,
military benefitted family members, and immediate family with free general
admission on Armed Forces Day. Thank you for your service.

Animal Spotlight


MEET LIAM, MARA, & RAFAEL

We’re WILDLY excited to introduce 3 cougar residents moving to Wild Utah this
spring. Liam, Mara, and Rafael came to the zoo after being orphaned and rescued
as cubs. Due to their young age, they were not fully equipped with the necessary
skills to survive in the wild. Cougars are native to Utah and can be found in
many different habitat types throughout the state. Learning how to live safely
with cougars is essential as our population grows. You can see the cougars at
the new Wild Utah exhibit opening later this spring.
